"If you're a hero, then why are you running?" I pause in the drizzling rain. "Only people who have something to hide wear masks." I whisper. I place my palm on his cheek, wondering what he would do if I were to pull the mask away.\

"I never said I was a hero, Isabel." He twists his head away at the last second before I can unmask him, his fingers catching mine to stop them. "Don't." He warns, his voice critical. "I saved your life, though. It should could for something." He whispers into my ear. He's so close that I can feel his stubble on my cheek. I've never been this close to a boy before. He pulls away, his crystalline green eyes shining through the mask. "At this point, I don't care anymore whether you think I am a hero, or villain, Isabel. You only need to know that you're safe when you're with me."

Isabel is an average girl who attends high school until she meets the city's troubled superhero... or villain... the press has named him "Dark Chaos." What will she do when she realizes she loves him, or when she discovers his true identity?
