"Well, this is interesting..." Became the mantra of Shelbie Embrose for in her 3 years in Hogwarts.

And will be for more.

Right now, Shelbie was looking around with her trusty cat, Thomas, in an unusual floor that she was placed on while taking the stairs. She was sure she had timed it right, but unfortunately she was at a loss since it had moved and placed her and Thomas where they didn't intend to go. Making it a wrong turn. And of course, when Shelbie is placed in an unusual spot, she can't help but put the rational part of her aside and let her curious side take over.

"What do you think this is Thomas?" She asked her cat as she stepped forward with him following, looking down to the brown tabby as if waiting for an answer, which he usually gave with a meow since he was very vocal with his opinions.

"Meow!"

"Yeah, I know right? I don't think I've ever seen this floor before." She remarks as she starts walking around as she continues talking. "Well, maybe its because I've been here for four years, but..." She pauses to look up to the ceiling to see gorgeous architecture at the top of it.

"Well, I guess that means more to explore right?" She asks. "Since we were left by the stair, we might as well do so right?"

"Meow!"

"Alright... Lets find out what exactly this floor is..." She says as she starts looking around for some clues that might give her an answer. Thomas sat patiently in his place seeming to be tired.

The area she was in was neat, tidy, and most empty so she could only assume that it was most likely a floor to a common room... But which one?

Well, there is usually a passageway to enter a common room, so... She looked towards the large painting before her and saw a pompous regal woman seated in a lush chair with a kind smile on her face. She raised a brow. I couldn't be near the Gryffindor common room could I?

She moved up towards the portrait and directed her ear near it and listened closely for any signs of sound. Faintly, she could hear people laughing distinctly behind it and she knew instantly that she was correct. Stepping back, she shoulders her satchel and starts briskly walking away back towards the stairs.

"Thomas!" She called, and the cat meowed after her, making her look back at him as he jumped to trot by her heels. "I better move quickly or--OOOF!"

"Whoa!"

She stumbled back a few steps as she tried to catch her bearings after colliding with someone, making sure not to trip over her cat in the process and looked up to see who the person was that she had just collided into. And low and behold, it was thankfully her friend Lily Evans.

"Lily!" Shelbie gasped. Lily couldn't help but laugh gleefully at seeing her friend.

"Shelbie! What are you doing here?" She asks. Shelbie shrugs.

"Got dropped at the wrong place by the stairs and couldn't help but explore." She replies. Lily couldn't help but roll her eyes playfully at her.

"How am I not surprised?" She asks, and Shelbie simply shrugs with a smile. "Well, do you want me to help you out or can you handle it?" But before Shelbie could reply, Lily linked her arm with her friends and lead her away.

"I'm gonna assume the first." She winked. Shelbie raised a brow.

"Hey hey, just because I got the wrong turn this time doesn't mean it'll happen again Lily."

"Tell me that the next time it happens Shelbs."

Shelbie sighs and makes sure that her cat was following her, and thankfully he was before smiling to Lily. "Thank you."

"No problem."

"So, you got lost on the Gryffindor floor?" Candice giggles as she listened to the story that Lily told while they sat all together in the almost vacant cafeteria since it was not supper time just yet. "How am I not surprised?" She says, letting out another giggle.

"Okay okay, laugh it off but I wasn't lost, I just took a wrong turn! And it was just that one time! I didn't even intend it or know it was her floor!"

"Oh really?"

Shelbie, Candice, and Lily turn around to the extra voice in their conversation to see their other friend, Olivia standing behind them. Candice smiled.

"Hey Olive!" She says. Olivia comes over to sit beside Shelbie.

"So, where has our little wanderer wandered off to this time? Our house?" She asks Lily.

Lily giggles, "Yes, she did."

"I clearly said, that it wasn't my intention." Shelbie counters. " I just took a wrong turn." Olivia starts to laugh and waves it off.

"Oh sweetie it's fine! I'm sure no one noticed." Shelbie sighs and puts her hands on her cheeks while Olivia rubs her back.

"On a different note," Candice says, still chuckling, "Have you guys studied for the charms test?"
