The ride to the hospital seemed to take forever from the academy. "Can you go any faster!?" He asked rudely, bouncing his leg nervously. Rin being in the hospital was not exactly great news. Soon enough, Bon arrived at the hospital not long after the call ended. The cab driver finally drove faster there, nothing else mattered to him but Rin. Quickly paying whatever he had in his pocket, he sprinted inside and found Yukio in the waiting room, pacing. "Anything? Is he in a room yet from his surgery?"

Yukio looked up to see him and nodded, sighing softly. "Yeah. It took them a while to get the bullet out of him. He lost a lot of blood. God... my aim is never that bad." He rubbed his arms, angry with himself mostly. "They are getting him set up in the room."

"Hey, Yukio. Relax dude. It's okay. Rin's a strong guy, he'll be fine. He heals quickly, right?" Bon hated feeling useless. It was his teacher for god's sake. He didn't know how to help. He had to at least be there for Yukio and see Rin everyday will he was better.

"I don't know. The bullet isn't just any regular one. It's a demon bullet, Suguro. You should know that." Yukio sat down, rubbing his forehead. "I should have protected him better. He should have never went with me on that mission. It's all my fault."

"Hey, just relax Yukio. It is not you fault. It was an accident. It shouldn't take to long to get him in a room and come collect us." Bon sat beside him, patting the younger Okumura's back gently. He bounced his leg again and waited.

Yukio nodded his head, waiting the best he could. Their chairs sat facing the door and every time it opened they hoped it was news about Rin. It was taking a lot longer then they wanted. They both just wanted to see Rin. He looked at Bon. "So you really like my brother, don't you?"

"Now really isn't the right time to discuss my feelings towards Rin, Yukio." Bon sighed softly. As much as they need a distraction, he didn't want to talk to Yukio about his brother. Especially not at a time like that. He was stressed.

"Suguro, I just need to know that my brother will be happy, loved, protected, and safe before he leaves me forever. Rin's protected me for as long as I could remember. That's why I became an exorcists. The man that raised us let me join him to protect him and myself. Rin was always a happy kid, but he's so stubborn and his temper is horrible." Yukio sighed and looked at him.

"Yukio, he will be okay. He's very strong." Bon looked at him. "Alright, I do like your brother. There is nothing getting past you. Okay sure, he's not the smartest, but he's got a big heart. He loves you, you're his brother."

Yukio smiled at him and nodded. "Thanks Suguro. Just take care of him, will ya? He's still my brother and I care about him. I don't want him getting hurt."

Bon just nodded and shook his hand in agreement. "Don't worry about it too much, Yukio. I'll take good care of him. I promise." He smiled and looked towards the door when it opened. A doctor came in with a clip board and looked about the waiting room. The doctor called Yukio's name and the two stood up.

Yukio raised his hand as they stood. "That's me. Do you have news about my brother?" He asked in a worried tone.

"Well there's good news and bad news." The doctor spoke hesitantly, looking at both men before him. "The good news is that he is stable and all set up in a room. The bullet was successfully removed from his side." He paused for a short moment. "Bad news is that he has fallen into a coma. We don't know how long this will last. Could be a could of days or weeks. But you may go see him. He's in room 312." The doctor managed to smile softly.

"Thank you, Doctor." The two walked to the room Rin was in, finding hard to come in and look at him. The blue haired boy remained unmoved, unconscious. He was pale and his dark hair was swept to the side, making him look weird. His tail wasn't moving either. Bon really wanted to fix Rin's hair and sighed. Tears threatened both the boy's eyes. "Oh, nii-san. I'm so sorry." Yukio took his brother's cold hand.

Bon couldn't take it anymore. He had to fix Rin's hair and so he did. There, much better. He thought. "You idiot. I told you to be safe. Please Rin, wake up. You have to wake up." He mumbled to the unconscious boy in the bed, sitting beside him.

Yukio felt so guilty as he held his brother's hand. "This is all my fault. I'm so sorry Rin. Please wake up soon. I need you. Suguro needs you." He whispered. He had read that talking to the patient would help them. "Can't believe I shot my own brother."

"Yukio. It's gonna be okay. It is not you're fault. You had to do what you needed to save him. Rin could've gotten killed by that demon, or worse. The doctor said he would wake up soon." He said and Yukio nodded in agreement, trying to relax with his brother. Bon already missed Rin's stupid humor and jokes. For being the oldest twin, he was so immature.

A few hours had past and neither men spoke. They sat on either side of Rin, holding his hands. Bon had eventually texted Shima, explaining what happened. The rest of the gang soon showed up at the hospital. Little words were needed. Shima patted Bon's shoulder, smiling sadly and gave an apologetic look. A nurse came by and told them that visiting hours were over, only Yukio was allowed to stay because he was family. Bon wanted to argue but Yukio stopped him. "Go get some sleep. I'll call you if anything changes. I'll see you tomorrow okay?"

Bon sighed and nodded his head. "Alright fine. I'll be back first thing tomorrow morning. Get some rest Yukio." He told him and left with the rest of the gang.

Yukio nodded as he watched them leave. Soon the room was silent except for Yukio's breathing, the monitors, and Kuro. The demon kitty had put up a fight to stay. The youngest twin sat on the chair beside his brother's bed, taking his hand again, still cold. "Come on, Rin." He whispered. "Fight this, wake up." Kuro nudged the eldest brother's hand, it was motionless. "I know Kuro. I want Rin to wake up too." He pet Kuro's little horned head. Trying to sleep in the hospital was impossible.

Rin's POV (first person)

It was dark, cold and unknown. I don't know where I am. "Hello!?" I called out and tried to look around. "Anyone here!?" I yelled. "Help me!" It was so dark, but I heard a soft, quiet voice. It was barely noticeable. "Hello!?" I was angry for some reason.

"Come on nii-san, wake up."

It sounded like my brother. I tried to call out to him but he couldn't hear me. What happened to me? Am I dead? I'm dead, I know I am. Son enough the walls and ground changed settings. A hospital room? I saw my brother and Kuro near my body. I heard the monitors and beeping. Wait. I'm not dead yet. Thank god. "Yukio!? Yukio, I'm here! Hello!?" I tried to call out again but he couldn't hear me. He did talk to me though. Even though he can't hear me.

"So I had called Suguro, when we got here. He ran here, nii-san. Ran. Well took a cab, but still. He's worried about you, brother. I'm worried about you. I can't lose you too. You're all I've got left, Rin. Don't leave us. He cares about you, ya know. Please wake up, fight. Be strong nii-san." Yukio sniffled. I haven't seen my brother cry in ages. It broke my heart. Hold on brother, I'm fighting.
