The door opened just as Tala finished getting ready. She walked out of the bathroom and made her way to the entry way. She saw Wrench waiting. He was wearing a very stylish black suit. "You look very nice." She said smileing. He turned around his breath caught in his throat. She was wearing a tight white dress. Its top covered her scars and showed off her curves. Her hair was down and almost reached her waist. On Thursday she had gone to a hair salon and gotten the ends dyed turquoise. She had a dressy black jacket on to cover her back, and where her wings would come out. It was just her luck Sitara would shove her into a dress with a low cut back. Not to mention the heels which already were hurting her feet. Wrench, to say the least, was very distracted and almost didn't hear when she had spoken. "You look beautiful." He says wistfully. "We should leave, we can stare at each other later." She says with a smile. He nodded and led her outside to a very expensive car. Then drove to a very nice restaurant. She was impressed, and guessed he stole the money from blume, she wasn't wrong. When they were seated at their table he asked the waitress what today's special was. After she responded he ordered it for both of them. Tala was fine with it, she had no idea what any of the food items even were. Then she realized "How are you supposed to eat with that mask on." She asked. "I'm not even going to try, I'll get it put in a to go box before we leave." He said. "So if your not going to eat, why did we come here? She asks confused. "Multiple reasons. I get to see you in a dress. The food here is actually really good. And most importantly it has a good view." He says while looking out the window. "I mean if you like business buildings then yeah it would." She said shrugging. He shakes his head "in five minutes something is going to happen to one of the CtOs buildings, make sure to pretend to be surprised and horrified." He said winking. She raises her eyebrows. The waiter came back with wine, and poured it into their glasses. She then dissapeared into the mess of tables. Tala eyed the glass suspiciously. "I'm not going to drink that." She said seriously. "I didn't expect you too." Wrench said laughing. She looked out the window. One of the buildings in the background exploded into a ball of flames. It took a second for the sound to reach her, when it did it was so loud it shook the building. Here eyes wide she smiled at Wrench, then pretended to be concerned. Some people panicked and ran out into the street. They and a few other couples stayed seated. The boss ran out pissed because some employees tried to leave. He screamed some things, and from then on the dinner went fairly smoothly. Mostly it was Wrench trying to explain things that she missed out on as a kid, while she was eating. Most of it was about memes, scratch that, all of it was about memes. After she was done eating, he got his food put in a box. He payed and they were off. "So Tala, I was thinking we could hang out and watch a few movies or something." He says while driveing. "Sure, then you have a chance to eat." She said smileing. She furrowed her eyebrows in contemplation. "Whose place are we going to go to? I would prefer yours, because I've never really seen it." She says. He nods, he was planning on going there, but he wasn't sure if she would be comfortable. He was relieved she brought it up. They soon pulled up to an apartment complex close to the garage. He led her to his apartment and let her inside. She was suprised the inside was normal. Like she expected a punk rock theme, but it was bland. She raised her eyebrows "Are you sure you opened the right door?" She said amused. "I try to keep this place normal, gives the illusion I have a regular life." He said smiling through his mask. He didn't tell her it was a fake smile, and that the reason the apartment looks normal is that growing up normal was all he ever wanted. He led her to the living room. Their was a huge TV and a nice comfy looking loveseat. He dimmed the lights so he would have enough light to see what he is eating, and what is playing. He sat down on the right side of the couch with his food, and grabbed the remote. He turned on Netflix. "Would you be alright with watching a TV show instead of a movie?" She shrugged and sat down next to him. "Awesome, because I know this really great show, it kind of reminds me of DedSec except their is only one hacker in their group. Its called Leverage, and it is about this group of thieves and hackers and grifters, that is led by an honest-ish man. They take down corrupt businesses and government officials. Like a modern day Robin Hood, but you wouldn't khow who Robin Hood is." He says, mask smiling. "Sounds good." She said nodding. He went to the first episode and hit play. He opened his to go box an pulled out a plastic fork. He took off his mask and started eating. The show was really good, but she had trouble paying attention, she was distracted by Wrenchs face. She never really got to see it, she was trying to commit it to memory. He caught her starring a few times, but every time they made eye contact he would look away quickly, slightly embarrassed. He wasn't used to all the Attention. After watching for awhile she got a grasp of the characters. Nate was the brains, he always seemed to have a plan and a way out. Sophie was a grifter, she could pretend to be anyone, but only durring cons, otherwise she is the worst actor. Hardison was the hacker, he could get onto anything. Parker was the thief, she was small so she could fit in the air vents, and she was super flexible. Elliot was the hitter, he was super strong and could beat the shit out of almost anyone. After watching three episodes I turned to him. "What character do you think I'm the most like?" She asks. "Hm, in sheer force I would say Elliot." He says. She nods. "I think I'm also like Parker." He nods in agreement. "Me too." They both read between the lines: shitty child hood, emotionally constipated. "I'm going to cheat and say your most like Hardison, because of the hacking." She says smirking. "I think I'm most like Sophie." He says shrugging. She raises an eyebrow. "Sophie, the actor?" She asks suspicious. He panics slightly, tries to hide it, but she catches it. "Uh yeah, its because I used to be a theatre kid, I was in a bunch of plays and stuff." He says a little to quickly. She looked at him quizzically. "See, I even have this tattoo." He said while pointing to his arm. She felt their was more too it then that. Why did he get so nervous? It can't all be because he is talking about a part of his past. As she thought about it some things started to stick out in her mind. Every time she saw him without his mask he seemed shy and nervous, a large contrast to his funny flirty side. They almost seemed like two different people. She grabbed his arm, realization hitting her like a truck. "Is Wrench a character that you created, someone you pretend to be so others can't find the real you?" She asks seriously starring onto his eyes. He freezes, eyes wide, mouth agape in shock. It took him a few seconds to recover. "Its getting late, I should drive you home know." He says grabbing his mask putting it on and basically running to the door. "Wrench wait, I'm sorry, I just-" she started as she rushed after him. They both got to the car, and got in, while surrounded by an awkward silence. After a minute Tala spoke up. "I had a good time, even though I did ruin it." She said smiling sadly. "No you didn't ruin it, its my fault." Wrench said shaking his head. "Well, you better not flake out on me tomorrow." She said, her smile still tainted with sadness and worry. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." He said his mask showing a smile. They pulled up to the complex. "Thank you, see you tomorrow." She said smiling at him as she opened the door. "Your welcome, see you." He called after her. As soon as she left into the building he slumped down in his seat and put his head in his hands. "Damn." He murmured. He replayed their conversation in his head over and over again. She just seemed to get him, sometimes even better then himself. It was like he was on one side of one way glass. He could see everyone else, but to them he wasn't even there. Somehow she knew, and she was smart enough to turn off the light.
