A/N I am so sorry its been so long. I haven't had time to write, and I had to spend extra time writeing this, to make his backstory seem both horrible, and believable. Also I am not going to say what they're eating, it can be your favorite food or whatever.

Tala woke up very early Sunday morning, she had been planning this for days, and especially after yesterday, she wasn't going to get anything wrong. She first however had to add a lot of entries into her notebook. The past week was a whirlwind, and she all but forgot about her project. After two hours of writing it was about eight o'clock in the morning, and she had to pack the picnic basket. Yes, she planned a picnic. It was Sitara's idea, but she was the one who came up with the genius place to have it. Sitara had helped her prepare food beforehand, but it was all I'm the fridge. After she packed the food, beverages, and blankets into the basket she made sure to get herself ready. She changed into a pair of leggings, and a black hoodie. It was one of the many sweatshirts that were torn in the back form flying with them on. She stared at her outfit. She was fully dressed in black, she had heard that 'black attracts heat' she hoped that were true, considering where she was going. She thought about the conversation she and Wrench had on Friday.
"What should I wear?" He had asked with question marks on his mask. "Well what you normally wear looks fairly warm, so wear that." I had responded shrugging.
She started to brush her hair, admireing what the stylist had done. She brushed her teeth. Sitara, who must have heard the tap running, burst into the bathroom. "Ready for your makeup?" She said smiling. Tala eyed her suspiciously. "Don't do anything crazy." She said sternly. Sitara rolls her eyes. "Fine, I'll just show off the features you already have." She said grabbing her makeup bag. She pulled out mascara and eyeliner. "You don't need foundation, your skin is like flawless." She said as she took off the eyeliners cap. "Now, look up, open your eyes wide, and don't blink. She held Tala's chin as she applied the eyeliner to the bottom of both of her eyes. Then she put away the eyeliner, and picked up the mascara. "Blink when I tell you too." Sitara instructed, again grabbing ahold of Tala's chin. She positioned the mascara tip and said blink as she swooped it up. She did that multiple times for both eyes. Then she had Tala sit still and keep her eyes open to do the bottom lashes. After she was done Sitara asked her what she thought. Tala stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes looked gorgeous, she finally appreciated having them. Then she and Sitara rushed out of the bathroom. Tala grabbed the basket and they both left the apartment. They got into Sitara's car, and drove to Hackerspace where Tala would meet up with Wrench. When they got there Tala got out of her car, and Sitara drove off to hang out with Marcus. Tala walked into the store and too the back room, only to find Wrench leaning against the door. "Your here early." She said smiling. "Is that a picnic basket?" He said questioningly."Yup, as cliché as it is." She said happily. "But you told me to dress warm its like 78° out there." He said his mask showing dashes, she guessed it was his equivalent of staring suspiciously. "Where were going it is cold, and windy." She said smirking. "How long are we going to walk?" He groaned in annoyance. "Were going to fly there you idiot." She said smiling at him. "And you had me ware my spiked vest." He said shaking his head. "It gives me an excuse to put my arms under it." She said smirking he shrugged while smiling."You think of everything." He said as he walked to the front of the store. She followed him. One out she turned left and into the alleyway. "We can take off from here. You hold on to the basket." She says handing it to him. Then she walked up from behind him, wrapped her arms around him. "Ready?" She asked. "Cleared for liftoff" he said in a deep voice. She unfurled her wings and in a huge downward flap she sent them into the air. A few more powerful strokes and they were above the bulidings, and high enough to start flying forward. She had to focus on doing powerful downstrokes while holding him, without squishing him. She caught a warm updraft, which helped her gain altitude, but with the added weight it was a battle. Once over 200ft high she started to focus more on moving forward. At a slight decline she started to pick up speed, the updraft pushing them up, when they passed over a parking lot. With the added altitude she could afford to go faster, she reached the highway, all the concrete on a hot day allowed her to sour, she followed the road. It led to the golden gate bridge. Once there she swooped down and landed them on the top of one of the bridge supports. She unwrapped her arms. "So this is where!" He said excited. "Once I saw the bridge I had my suspicions. You're right, it is chilly up here." He said smiling. "Let's set up." She said opening the basket. She pulled out a blanket and layed it on the ground. He sat on it as she got the food and drinks out of the basket. She then sat down and set up two meals on the blanket. She placed two sets of silverware in front of both of them. Once everything was set up she starts eating. Wrench hesitated, and Tala pretended not to notice. Then Wrench took his mask off and started to eat. His eyes lit up. "This is really good!" he said giving her a shy smile. Tala smiles back, not because of his compliment, but because of his incredible smile. "Sitara helped me make it." She said shrugging. They ate in silence for the next few minutes, but it was a comfortable silence. Wrench gazed out over the city and ocean. "Its a beautiful view." He said wistfully. "Agreed." Tala said starring at him. When he realized what she meant a small blush crept onto his cheeks. Tala thought that was unbelievably cute, which is something she thought she would never say about Wrench. Then out of no where Wrench asked "Do you ever want to find out who your parents are?" He asked seriously. "Uh, I never really thought about it." She said bluntly. "I wouldn't recommend it." Wrench said looking out over the ocean. "You know that from experience?" She asked, instantly regretting it when Wrench's face scrunched in pain. "I mean you don't have to tell me. If I would guess my mom was a volunteer and my dad would be a sperm donor, but I don't know." She rushed trying to change the subject. "Thanks Tala, but I think I should tell someone eventually. I mean I know your story." He said nervously. "Yeah, but that's different. I'm a sociopath and I didn't know any better growing up so I didn't care, thats why I'm so open. You should only tell someone when your ready." She said softly. He shook his head. "It all started with a prostitute, she was my birth mom. I was an accident, but that's not really a surprise." He tried to joke to lighten the mood but his voice gave away that he didn't have the heart for it. "The only thing I can thank her for is life and a surprising lack of stds. Although when I was younger I wasn't thankful for the whole life thing. She grew up in a catholic family, and aparantly the only catholic thing about her was her pro life views, so I was born and put up for adoption. I was shuffled around the foster system for years. When I was five I was adopted by a couple in their twenties. They seemed nice, at first. After the guys dad died he started drinking, and every time he got drunk he would beat me. After two years of abuse a neighbor found out, and I was 'saved'. I was seven, back in the foster system, but this time I had social anxiety." He was trying to stay composed but struggled to stay strong. "The next family I was adopted by was when I was twelve. They were in their early thirtys and they were druggies, the guy the supplier. They figured a kid would lower peoples suspicion of them. They were right. They bought me a computer and I started to learn hacking. I was a weird kid so I was bullied at school and I didn't have any friends so I had a strong online presence. There was a couple really bad kids at my school, they would beat me up basically everyday after school. The worst was their leader Tyler. Once-" he had to stop, because he began to cry. Hot tears rolled down his face. Tala had abandoned her forgotten food, and was sitting next to Wrench, hugging him for comfort. He rested his head on her shoulder as a sob racked his body. "He fucking pushed me into a janitor closet, and raped me." He cryed.  She hugged him tighter. "I'm so sorry." She whispered. "I couldn't even find safety at home. The woman, who I was supposed to call 'mom' died of an overdose. After that her husband went crazy, he would beat me and one night he got drunk, really drunk and he pushed me into a fire. That is when I got the scar on my face. Another night while drunk he came at me with a knife, he tried to kill me, he blamed me for the death of his wife. I grabbed a gun and I shot him. He bleed to death, and I ran. I can still see the look in his eyes when he died, and I was ashamed of who I was, I only stood up for myself once and I even messed that up. I started wearing a mask to hide my identity, and it allowed me to be who I wanted to be: Confident and social. It became a good thing when CtOs facial recognition became reliable, considering I was a murderer." He whispered. "No one should have to go through that." She softly murmered in his ear. Halfway through his confession she started running her fingers through his hair, calming him down. Her sweatshirt was wet with tears, but that was the least of her concerns. "Now it doesn't bother me as much that I killed him, I've killed lots of people, I was just not expecting it." He murmurs. "Like having a bucket of ice water thrown on you." He said. "Most people would be mortified that you killed someone, I'm kind of proud." She smiles, trying to lighten the mood. "I can imagine little Wrenches first murder, mine was when I was six." She says jokingly. He wipes his eyes. "What's the story behind that?" He asks trying to direct the conversation away from himself. She raises he reyebrows ammused. "I like how were refering to our first kills as a rite of passage kind of thing."  She says happy to try and distract him. "When I was six one of the scientists wanted to judge my self defense so he tried to punch me. I grabbed his arm and flipped him over me. He broke his neck, and spine when he hit the ground." She said seriously. "You did that when you were six?" He said surprised. "Yup" she nodded. "Your crazy." He said shakeing his head, he was feeling slightly better. Somehow she does that to him. "Says the one on a date with me." She said smirking. "You got me there." He admits. The wind picks up blowing their hair. "How do you get your hair cut?" She asks looking at his hair. "I cut it myself, I don't uncover my head for just anyone." He says smiling slightly. "I hope that's not a metaphor for your dick." She says not amused
He looks away slightly flustered. She noticed the change. "That's the difference between you and you with your mask on." She muses. "If you had it on you would have probably winked and said 'only for you'." She says smiling at him. He smiles "Your right." 'Yet again' he thinks.

A/N THAT TOOK SO LONG TO WRITE. IM SO SORRY. On the bright side its done. On the other hand your done reading it...
