First things first: the theme name 'The End' is a misnomer. Haha. You might label me as a crazy ass dude for choosing the name 'The End' when it's a misnomer but hey! So is the Big Bang Theory.
Okay, listen. Let's get serious. How many times did we hear 'it's too late, it's the end' or 'it ends here' or 'the end is near'? Couple of hundred times, I guess. And during those moments when we feel the end coming, what do we do? Do we hug our knees and bawl our eyes out in the corner? Run and run and run until there's no more road? Scream our lungs out? Call Mom? There's something such endings that makes us feel insane.
Sure, the end is a scary thought but the thing is, for this round, we won't be focusing on the ending. We might not be worrying about the end after all.
There are a lot of factors leading to the end or why things end or why things happen the way they did—and that's where I want you to focus.
Below this are seven songs, seven reasons, seven factors. All examining a different perspective of the ending. All shedding new light to why things have to end. All examining either post or pre-ending.
After all, everything that started must end... right?
Good luck, team!

Maybe Someday by Colleen HooverEuthanasia. This word in bold right here is a sociological term for 'mercy killing'. In a not so morbid way, when put in a romantic context, this may refer to ending a relationship before it ends the both of you, quitting the game before the game no longer needs you. That is what Shawn was singing in this song. This reflects the kind of ending that it has to end because there's no other way or choice, that leaving is the only silver lining.
This somehow shares the same boundary with Colleen Hoover's Maybe Someday. Leaving a love that did nothing but hurt you, leaving because it's the only choice left.
