"Life isn't about finding yourself; it's about creating yourself. So live the life you imagined."

-----Vikk's POV-----

"We aren't going to hurt you." I heard someone say. I was laying down in a bed and saw the person looking at me.

"Who-who are you?" I ask him.

"I should ask you the same thing."

"I am Vikram Barn." I tell him.

"Well I am Dylan Arsement." He tells me.

"Ok, where am I?" I ask concerned.

"You are in my bed, I found you in the forest unconscious."

"Ok."

"I carried you here and you were freezing so I wrapped you up." He seems to care about my safety.

"Anything else?" I ask him.

"Yep, what is on your back?"

"Hm?" I looked behind me and sure enough there were two light gray wings.

"What is your last memory?" Dylan asks me.

"I was falling..."

"I think I might know someone who can tell you what you are." He tells me.

"Great lets---"

"Shh, someone else might hear you."

"Oh, right." I tried to stand up but failed.

"No, you stay here for now. Let me go get someone who can help me." He leaves the room, leaving me by myself. A few minutes pass and he is still gone, I decided to try and stand up again. My feet were wobbly at first but then they started getting used to it. I walked around Dylan's room trying to find out who else is here. I went to his dresser and sitting on top of it was a picture that had 3 boys and a girl in it. I could notice Dylan but I didn't recognize anyone else. While I was looking at it, Dylan walked into the room with the girl in the picture.

"See I told you he woke up."

"Yeah, yeah, we should bring him to Jerome he would know what he is."

"How are we going to get him out without people seeing him?" Dylan asks her.

"Can you climb?" She asks me.

"I think so." I say.

"Great, you can climb out the window. We will meet you outside." She says then drags Dylan with her. I walk over to the big window and noticed that it had a small balcony. I opened it, then stood on the balcony. I looked down and saw Dylan and Tym waiting. I didn't see any other way down so I told them I was just going to jump down. When I jumped over the edge, I was expecting a hard impact but instead felt the air beneath my feet. I opened my eyes and saw Dylan and Tym staring at me in awe. Once I was down, they led me into the forest. Eventually we reached a door in a hill. Instead of knocking on the door Tym just walks right inside.

"Jerome?" She yells.

"What?" I hear another voice call.

"We brought someone that you might need to see." Tym says.

"On my way." A few seconds later a teenage boys runs into the room we are in. Once he sees me he backs away slowly and morphs into a bacca.

"What are you doing Jerome?" Dylan asks beside me.

"That's the feeling I sensed this morning."

"He isn't even dangerous." Dylan tries to defend me.

"Hey, "he" has a name." I say.

"Jerome, just calm down." Tym says comforting him.

"Dylan get away from him, he could hurt you." Jerome tells him.

"No, he won't. I just want to know what he is?"

"How do you know he won't. He could be plotting to destroy us right now." Jerome tells him.

"I trust him." Dylan says. I start backing away slowly while they are arguing. Once I was out of earshot I ran to the bathroom.

"Look, you let him get away."

"His name is Vikram, and he isn't a dog. He probably just has to use the restroom."

"Vikram is probably stealing things from me." I hear Jerome say outside the door.

"He isn't like that, did you see how calm he was?"

"Exactly, he is probably so quiet so he could plan an escape." I passed out on the bathroom floor. The last words I hear are "Get the keys, he could be hurt."

When I woke up I was laying on a couch with a blanket around me.

"It's about time, I have some questions for you." Jerome says.

"Ok..."

"First, why are you here?"

"What do you mean?"

"Dylan says, your name is Vikram Barn, is that correct?"

"Yes."

"I researched your name and it says that you died a few days ago."

"Then why am I here?"

"I am the only one asking the questions."

"Fine."

"Now, I would say you are a demon, but demons wings are black. Which yours are not." I look back at my wings.

"Ok, what if they were black?"

"What did I say, I ask the questions. But if they were black you would've been dead by now."

"Oh."

"Next, you can't be an angel because angel wings are pure white."

"So...?"

"I think that you should stay here for another few hours and let me try and find something."

"Ok." I fall back asleep waiting for Jerome to find what I am. I wake up and find Jerome sleeping in the chair next to me. He started shivering, I got up and put my blanket over him. Once I did I noticed a book he was reading. I took it out of his hands and saw the page he was on.
