I saw the killing curse first. It was fired straight at Fred. With only one thought running through my mind, I pushed him down. The curse hit me instead, and I felt it coursing through my veins. I tumbled to the ground and lay in a crumpled heap.

Fred and George were by my side instantly. I had moments until I took my last breath. I whispered the words that had been racing through my cluttered mind.

"What kind of a girlfriend would I be, if I let my Georgie lose his other half." A smile danced across my lips as my incredibly lucky and wondrous life evaded me.
