Valentines Day (Draco Malfoy)

Draco coughed again.

"I'm sorry. I really am." My boyfriend apologises for the fourth time today. I shrug off his apology.

"It's not your fault. Seriously Dray, don't beat yourself up about it." I reassure my bedridden beau. Today is Valentine's Day, and Draco came down with a worsened version of a cold in the early hours of this morning. It sucks, but Valentine's Day couldn't be more amazing as long as he's by my side and I by his.

"No. This day was meant to be special love, and I'm only making it worse." Draco scrunches up his nose and frowns. I roll my eyes.

"Shut up okay? I will not let you bash yourself about this." I shoot a glare at Draco who scoffs.

"I'm going to get changed. I feel icky in these clothes." It's my turn to scoff.

"Oh your language is brilliant darling, how could such a genius ever become sick?" I stand up from the comfy bean bag in the Slytherin boys dorms and flutter my eyelashes sarcastically. Draco groans.

"Oh come off it will you?" I grin and walk to the doorway.

"Not a chance." I wink before I stride down the stairs and sprawl myself across the couch in the common room. Not five seconds later, Pansy comes bounding in.

"Y/n! Come on! There's this super cool thing in the DADA room!" I instantly catch interest, due to DADA being my favourite subject.

"What is it?" I demand. Pansy grins slyly.

"You'll just have to come and find out." I make a lazy attempt at swatting her but she laughs easily and moves out of my reach.

"I can't. I'm waiting for Dracoooo." I drag out the last vowel in my boyfriends name and sigh dramatically.

"He'll understand. Just write a note or something." I weigh my options.

"That could work. As long as we're super quick yeah?" Pansy nods and I hurriedly grab nearby parchment and a quill.

Draco

I'll be back shortly. Pansy is showing me an apparently cool dada thing? Time will tell.

"Come on! Time is of the essence." Pansy urges me as I hurriedly finish.

"Where do you think he'll be able to find it?" I ask anxiously.

"Just put it on the table. Come on!" I put the hastily scrawled note on the table and allow Pansy to yank me to the portrait hole.

"Come on!" She urges.

"Hold your hippogriffs! Sheesh woman, you've given me an arm burn!" Pansy laughed but loosens her death grip on my arm.

"Pansy. Are you feeling alright? This is not the way to the dada classroom. Are you high?" I ask cautiously as Pansy takes yet another wrong turn.

"Oh shush. I should have blind folded you so you would just shut up." Pansy exclaimed.

"We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz." Pansy sung loudly and cheerfully as she continued to drag me towards the Forbidden Forest.

"Pans! I'm rubbing off on you!" I say, shocked. Pansy chooses to ignore me and goes on to sing another muggle tune. I'd gotten her hooked when one of my muggleborn friends introduced it to me.

"You ready?" Pansy asks excitedly.

"Ready to stop being abused by my supposed 'friend'?" I grin cheekily. Pansy shot me a playful glare.

"No. For this!" Pansy strode up to a set of bushes and other shrubs and muttered, loud enough for me to hear, 'Draco Malfoy is a better friend than you'll ever be and is also the coolest person in the world' before the greenery parted to reveal a small clearing and a white and red checkered picnic blanket spread across lush green grass. A quaint picnic basket was in the left hand corner and a certain blonde was sprawled across the blanket.

"Draco you blundering idiot. You'll catch your death out here! What on earth are you thinking, being out here in this state? Now I know why you weren't sorted into Ravenclaw!" I look at Pansy accusingly.

"You knew! You knew he was putting himself in danger and about the potential risks that he could die and-" I'm cut off by Draco laughing.

"Oh love, I'm not actually sick. It's a surprise silly." Draco patted the seat beside him.

"I hate you." I scowl at him and begrudgingly sit down beside him.

"I knew you'd come round." Draco wrapped a lazy arm around my waist and pulled me into his chest. I grin at his sweet gesture and snuggle into his warmth.
