Rain drops made pitter patter sounds as they hit the ground and Ethan ran his fingers through his wet hair. He decided to skip school today since he felt like complete shit.
He walked towards the woods that acted as his safe haven, his sanctuary. There he spent time crying, drowning in his unpleasant thoughts, and thinking about anything and everything.
Ethan sat by a stream, surrounded by leaves and the scent of dirt. His eyes stung with tears but they were nearly impossible to see in the pouring rain.
