Is it really you?

Amy's POV
I can feel my heart beating in my chest. Dani was adopted. So was I. Can she be my Dani?
"Did you have any siblings?" I ask Dani
"I remember having sisters. I don't know how many. Why?" She answers
"I had a little sister named Danielle. But we all called her Dani." I tell her
"My name is Danielle." She says
"Could you be my sister?" I ask
"I don't know. Maybe." She says
"When is your birthday?" I ask
"June 15th. Why?"
"My Dani was born that day. Dani, we're sisters." I say
"Yeah sure. I want a DNA test before I believe it." She says
"Why?" I ask
"Our family is rich. Maybe you just want our money." Dani says
"I didn't know that. Well let's get a DNA test then. I'm 100% sure that we are sisters." I say
"Okay. Let's do it after school. Will you come with me Alice?" Dani says
"Sure. If you are sisters I'm happy for you. I wish I could find my family. But it's impossible." Alice says
"Why?" Sofia asks
"My parents died in a car accident and I had no other living relatives." Alice explains
"Oh. I'm so sorry. I guess I'm the only one with living biological parents here. No offense of course." Sofia says
"None taken." The rest of us say and then the bell rings and we are all of to class.

After School
I pick up Dani, Alice and my siblings and before we go to get the DNA test. I have to drop of Victoria and Hector at home before we go. And after that we go to the hospital. I told Sofia to stay at home but she really wanted to come, and tbh, I needed some support. I knew in my heart that Dani was my sister but I was still really scared and nervous. I hadn't seen her in 6 years. I couldn't believe that I had finally found her.
"Amy Gavrillo and Danielle Oberlin?" A nurse asks us and we stand up and go to her. "So you want a DNA test?" She asks
"Yes. I need to know if Dani is my sister." I explain
"You need to be 18 or have permission by a guardian. But I'm guessing you 2 were adopted." She says
"Yes." Dani says
"Well I was in the foster system but never adopted. I found my brother and I want to help you." She explains
"Thank you." I say and we start to walk to the room where we're taking the test.

1 hour later
When we have taken the test we go out to the waiting room again where Sofia and Alice are.
"Well?" Alice asks
"Alice, I know you're not a genius but you should know that the results from a DNA test takes at least a week to come back." Dani says
"Hey, that's not very nice." I tell Dani
"Wow, chill mum. It's our sence of humor." Dani says
"Sorry. I'm just used to tell my little brother, and sister, to stop arguing. Our parents travel a lot so I'm often in charge." I explain
"It's cool. Now can you drive us home? Our dinner should be ready soon." Dani asks
"Sure. Come on. I should really get home and start dinner if mum and dad haven't gotten home yet." I say and we go out to the car. Alice tells me their address and I drive them there. When we're there I'm really surprised. They live in a huge mansion.
"Wow!" Me and Sofia say at the same time.
"Yeah. We were lucky. We got adopted by rich people." Alice says
"Yeah. You were lucky. But so was I. I got 3 wonderful siblings and amazing parents." I say
"Well, see you tomorrow Sofia." Alice says
"Wait. Amy, here's my number." Dani says and hands me a piece of paper. "Call or text me when you here about the DNA test. And you should know that if you really are my sister I am the lucky one. I just need to be sure since this has actually happened before when people have found out I was adopted." She then explains
"It's okay. Well, see you later." I say and Dani and Alice goes into their house and we drive home.
"I hope she is your sister. She's really nice. But promise to not forget about us." Sofia says
"I would never. You've been my family for 2 years. I will always love you. I promise." I reassure her
