mike stomped away from eleven, not caring about what she said.

he felt a pull under his feet.

he was unable to take any further steps.

he turned towards eleven and saw blood drip out of her nose.

"no" she repeated.

"eleven let me go" mike demanded. the pull on his feet loosened a bit.

"you. will. friends."

mike opened his mouth to object but instead nodded his head in agreement.
there was no way he was going to win that fight.
he was going against someone who could control things.
with their mind.

mike and eleven walked into the building. they walked to mike's locker and he put his bag away.

he turned around and saw will putting away his bag.
mike couldn't stop himself.
he stomped forward, ramming will into the lockers.

"why didn't you tell me she was back?"

"what? mike i don't know what you're talking abou-"

"why didn't you tell me she was back?" mike said a little bit louder.

will looked down in defeat.

"because your life was together. mine wasn't. i thought she could help me with some things."

"oh, really?" mike said, unamused. "what kind of things?"

"there are things i haven't told you about when i came back from the upside down, mike. things about me."

"why don't you tell them to me now then?" mike was practically yelling at this point.

"i got powers."

mike's anger was replaced with confusion.

"what?" he said. "you couldn't have. eleven was born with her powers. you can't just get them from one stupid trip to the upside down."

"i don't know how it happened but when the demigorgon took me, it felt like it put something inside of me. some kind of strength." he said. "that's how i survived for a week in there."

"why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"because i didn't know how you'd react."

"yet you told eleven?"

"listen, mike. i'm really sor-"

"i don't wanna hear it." mike cut him off.

mike was angry again.
this time he didn't let it get the best of him.

so he walked away.
