A busy night. Commuters on their way back from work or to work. Among the crowds there were two: one who'd finished work and the other about to finish a job.

In the packed compartment, their eyes met and never for a second left each other's. Too many people between two people  but soon they were face to face.

A brief encounter.

Next station, one left, the other remained transfixed , slowly exsanguinating to his final destination.

The job was done. There was no overtime pay in their line of work, only pay-back.

Only room for one, with time to kill.
