it was quite foolish of him to think that things could last forever. nothing lasted forever. it simply wasn't plausible, yet he thought of it anyway.
it truly had been nothing more than bits of wishful thinking that made him say that they would last forever, yet he held onto it like a lifeline.
he was the oldest, the most mature. he should have known better, but humans are strange creatures aren't they? he was just as lost as a child on their way through the supermarket.
perhaps one day there could be someone to help him out of his ocean of despair and drag him back onto land where he could dinallg get a grip of himself, but until then, he was alone, and it was all a matter of time.
