Norma's POV
I was confused at why Alex wanted to help me, I mean I know I went up to him and I asked for his help but he never refused, he never treated me differently and he never took advantage of my venerability. He was a good guy with a good heart, but he was only my protection, he knew it and I knew it. And it killed me to say it but it was true. It could never be anything more
Alex's POV
After I got to the farm, I told gutter to get me the drive, he did so and I felt relieved, the trouble was now with me and not with them and that's how it should be.
That night I went and picked up Norma, we where going to check out the docks
I knocked twice and Norman came to the door,
"Hello sheriff"
"Hey Norman, is your mother their?"
"Yeah she is, can I help you??"
"Could you shout her for me?"
"sure........mother!!! Alex Romero is here"
"Thanks
Norma came rushing down stairs in a rain coat and wellies, I almost giggled to my self out loud, but held it all in and greeted Norma politely
"Hey Norma"
"Well hey there Alex....ready to go?" Norman cut across Norma quickly
"Wait mother where are you going"
"I'm just going out with Alex for a few hours.....I promise I'll be back before 12 okay...just don't stay up to late.....I love you" she kissed him on the cheek picking up a black bag on the way to the door
"I love you too mother....bye sheriff"
"Bye Norman"
We walked on to the motel porch where Norma's smile dropped as she handed me the black bag I waited until we where in the car to look what was inside,
"You okay?" I turned and looked at Norma who's face was filled with fear
"Yeah.....I'm good....let's just get this over with....everything is in the bag"
I looked in the bag to see Normans bloody t-shirt and ripped up pants
"I'll get rid of these lets go"
When we got to the docks, it was all quite and lifeless it almost scared me how, silent the place was
"Where did Norman say he dumped the body?"
"Shhh god dam it some one might hear you!"
"Like who?......Bradley?!" I began giggling a little but I suddenly realised it wasn't the time for jokes
"Are you seriously making jokes right now??? I swear one more thing and I'm going to drown you!" She looked a little stressed, I guess I deserved that threat
"Sorry.....okay so we will walk around to see if we can spot anything suspicious okay?"
I looked over to Norma placing my hand on her shoulder
"Okay"
We started walking with flashlights looking into the water's reflection trying to see any sign of life anywhere
"What's that?"
"What's what?" I looked over to Norma who was pointing at a small Metal bump in the water
