She sits by the window
Head in her hands
Lost in her music and wonderlandWhere fairies fly free across the sky
And a beanstalk stretches a million feet high
In a world where true love is so easy to findShe likes to laugh and play all day
For when she's there she can't feel the tears and painOne slipper safe
One slipper gone
Among these tales she can belong
To hope and dream
To sing and dance
To smile
But, she must forgetShe is grown
The beautiful things she used to know
Dull and faded
Now comes a time to sit and writeBut, when the lights are dim, and the air cool
When the sky is fringed with a starry trim
She sits by the window
Head in her hands
She's lost in her mystic wonderland
