It is a warm Spring afternoon. I'm feeling a bit bored, so I decided to go for a walk. While I'm walking, I trip and fall on a crack in the sidewalk. "Ah!" I yell as I'm falling. I sit up and brush off my leg. "Well that was quite a fall." I say to myself.
"Hey. Need some help?" Someone says looking down at me. He, er uh, she is holding their hand out towards me. They squat down so we are about the same height.
"Uh, hi." I say. "Uh, thanks." I take their hand and they help me up. "Hey, what's your name?" I ask.
"My name is Nagito Komaeda. What's your name?" Nagito replies with a soft smile.
"My name is Hajime Hinata." I say. I smile back to him. "So, what are you doing?"
"Nothing really." Nagito replies. "You?"
"Oh, I'm just walking." I say.
"Ok. Hey, you seem pretty lonely. Mind if I join you on your walk?" Nagito asks.
"Yeah. Sure." I say joyfully. After I had told Nagito he could walk with me, I knew that we would be the best of friends. We walk down the road for about 20 minutes more. "Mm" I murmur. I put my hand on my knee again.
"? You alright?" Nagito asks.
"Yeah. I think I just grazed my knee a little. But I'm fine. We can just keep walking. I'll take care of it latter." I reply.
"Uh, ok." Nagito says. We just keep walking and having a conversation.
"So, Nagito. What part of Japan are you from?" I ask.
"Right here in town." He replies.
"Oh, cool. Me too." I say with a little laugh and smile. "Maybe we can hang out tonight."
"That sounds good. I can order pizza." Nagito says excitedly.
"Yeah! That's perfect." I say. We are getting closer to my house. "So, 5:30 is alright with you, Nagito?"
"Yes. 5:30 is great." Nagito replies. We walk to my doorstep and we finish planning our first evening together. "Goodbye, Hajime."
"Bye!" I say to Nagito as he leaves. I walk into my house and sit down on the sofa. I pull up my pant leg and take a look at my knee. "Oh. Not too bad." I clean and put a bandage over my knee and then get some snacks ready for our little hangout. Once I have finished getting all the snacks ready, I decide to get some sleep. I grab a blanket from my cabinet and lay down on the sofa. I check the time before I fall asleep. "2:23. Ok. I've got about 2 hours." I set an alarm for 4:30 and then fall asleep. About 3 hours later I'm at Nagito's house.
"I'm glad we met each other on the sidewalk." Nagito says.
"Yeah. Me too." I reply as I am pouring myself a drink. "You have a very nice house."
"Thanks." Nagito says. "So, I also wanted you to meet some of my friends, so I invited two of them. Unfortunately they were sick and could not come. But I would like you to meet them someday."
"Yeah, that's great. I would love to meet your friends." I say. Nagito and I hang out and talk for about 2 more hours. After that we both start to get tired.
"*yawn* oh, boy. I'm kinda tired." Nagito says sleepily.
"Yeah. I'm- *yawn* really tired too." I respond. We just pause for about a minute. "Um, Nagito, I think I should get going back to my house soon."
"That's ok. I would go too if I were you. Heh, I think we've both had quite a day." Nagito says. "Well, good night, Hajime. Take care now."
"Good night, Nagito." I say to him. Nagito is walking with me to the door.
"Um, Hajime..." Nagito starts to say. "Can you come here please?"
"Yeah." I say. "What is it?" Nagito stands there smiling for a moment. Then he hugs me.
"I'm glad we are friends now." Nagito says smiling.
"Me too." I say smiling back. We hug for about a minute or two. Then Nagito finally lets go of me and I walk home. Before I go, he asks me for my phone number. I give it to him then he lets me leave, I get home then I go to sleep.
