Cameron POV:

After the wedding reception ended, we went home.

But, someone needed to clean up.

"No, you guys go home" It was my mother.

She insisted that we go home and rest, as she and my dad clean up everything for us.

My parents drove back to their town afterwards, but decided to go home the next day.

They did not want to stay with me and Chase.

"I think it's best we find a hotel. You and Chase probably want some alone time" she winked.

I said absolutely nothing, and I knew she was instigating me.

Sometimes, my mom can be a lot of work.

All of our friends and doctors from the hospital went home.

They all seemed to enjoy it just as much as we did.

Too bad House didn't come to enjoy the fun.

Seems like his definition of fun is much more different.

All I feel he does in his free time is pop pills.

Hopefully, he stops one day.

We were both really exhausted.

"I have a wedding gift for you" Chase told me.

"Another one..." I joked.

Honestly, we got too many gifts I felt our house was going to explode.

"This one is different" Chase got up to get the gift.

I sat on the couch, yes, I was still on my wedding dress.

We didn't have much time to change afterwards.

Plus I felt good in the dress, because in some ways, it felt like a trophy.

I had won the privilege to be married.

There was a long race to get there, and now I'm here.

That is indeed a gift.

I really needed to change, though.

"This is for you.."

It was a box, and when I opened it, I found a special necklace.

The necklace had a bright and shiny diamond.

"Chase, this is beautiful"

My eyes were in awe.

The necklace was a beauty.

"You deserve it, babe" He told me.

Maybe I did actually deserve this.

It was finally that moment where I stopped being hard on myself.

"I need to tell you something" I told him.

"What is it?"

"I love you"

"I love you, too"
