2017 has been a big year for my dance company. We went to Disney to perform a medley of Disney songs, our original piece "Into the Garden" from two years ago, and a small snippet of one of our dances from our spring benefit performance. I walked so much while we were at Disney and my dance teacher goes, "You look smaller... you all do. Trust me girls, I look at your legs all day everyday."

We did "Mulan" for our spring benefit performance this year and did two shows. We normally only do one, so doing two shows and a run through took a lot out of us all. We essentially did three shows in one day with very little breaks. Everything wet so smoothly this year! I had one part in a group dance, it was a battle scene, where we do this modern style knee turn on the ground into a pose, and my weight was off during the first show so I hit my knee pretty hard and have a beautiful blue bruise now. Then at that same part during the second show my shoe got stuck, so I just plied as low as I could and made it work, you really couldn't tell very well. This week I'm on Spring Break from school, but not dance.

We're doing "Beauty and the Beast" for our recital and hopefully I'll find out casting this week. Our company's technique piece is a ballet piece again this year and is called "Serenade for Strings" and already looks really good. If you have any questions for me, or want to talk, or anything, feel free to comment or message me! I love talking with you guys and hearing your experiences, too.
