I got bored so here's a random story. It will be updated along with another story revolving around Jassian.

I don't own anything.

BOING! The rubber band ball bounced off the holodesk and right back into his hands. Again and again, it hopped back and forth, always landing in the young man's hands until his teacher came around and stole it from him. "I'll be seeing you again after class," she hissed.

Orson Krennic frowned and watched his teacher as she glided back to her desk and continued to talk. He doubted there was anything in this school that he didn't know besides the little personal lifestyles of each of the classmates. He was bored. He could answer every question thrown at him yet his teachers kept telling him to give someone else a shot at answering.

Orson reached under his desk and pulled out 15 little Lego bricks he always brought with him to school, one for each year he had been alive. It gave him something to do as he half-listened to his teacher's lectures. He could make millions of combinations with these bricks. He had always wanted to be an architect ever since his mom gave him his first Lego set when he was four.

A hand slammed on his desk, making him jump. His teacher was glaring at him. "Principal's office. Now." The Lego bricks were taken and Orson scampered off.

Orson was sent home after visiting the principal's with a note that was meant for his parents. He wondered what was inside. So as he walked home, he opened it. 'I'll seal it back up before I get home,' he thought. To his surprise, it was an offer for the Republic's Program, the highest level academy and work force in the entire Galaxy. Orson skipped the rest of the way home. He couldn't wait to show his parents...

Right after he got a lecture of being kicked out of school again. Both his parents were extremely mad at him. "Twelve days in one school year!" His father shouted. "Orson Callan Krennic! When are you going to learn that this will go against your marks to get into college!?"

"But-" Orson started.

"No buts!" Said his mother. "Honestly, Orson-"

Now it was Orson's turn to cut off his parents. "Mom! Dad! Look!" He shoved the resealed letter into his mother's hands. He waited as they read the note, crossing his fingers behind his back. Hopefully they would accept the offer...

Five days later, Orson was standing on the entrance platform of the Republic's Progeam facility. "Yeah-hoo!" He shouted and ran around to admire all the beautiful architecture.

"Orson!" His mother shouted. "Get back here and let's get your stuff to the dorm before you go exploring!" She had to chase him back to their ship.

They walked through the busy halls of the freshman building and Orson quickly became aware that he was younger than everyone else. He was also shorter than most people his age, though he still towered over a few girls. Orson lead the way down to his assigned dorm.

When they entered, someone was already in the room. The boy was talking to his parents and Orson wondered if he was in the wrong room. No, 510 was the right dorm number...

The boy and his parent looked at Orson. "Are you Orson Krennic?" The boy asked.

"Yeah?" Orson said slowly.

"Awesome! I'm Quint Gornea and I'm your roommate!"

Orson noticed how his roommate was quite a bit taller than he was. He also looked like he was somewhere between 17 and 35. At his age, he could never tell how old someone was. "Good to meet you, Quint," Orson said with a smile. This program was already great!

With the help of the Gornea's, Orson moved in to the other half of the room fairly quickly. Quint's parents said a quick goodbye before leaving. Meanwhile, the Krennic parents were having a harder time leaving.

"Now be good, Orson," said his mother. "I don't want you being kicked out of this school early."

"I promise, Mom," Orson said. "I'll see you in the summer."

"And make sure to call us at least once a week," said his dad.

Orson rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I'll do that too."

His mom frowned. "Sweetie, we're just worried about you. You're still very young for-"

"Oh my gosh! Mom! Dad! I'll be fine!"

But his parents told him the drill of what they expected from him. Say 'please' and 'thank you,' be kind to the teachers, learn something, look for any hot girls, all the yadda yadda Orson didn't care about. Orson could see Quint trying to hide his laughter.

Finally Orson had enough of his parents. He reached into his satchel and pulled out his rubber band ball, which he had gotten back from his teacher. "I'll be fine, Mom and Dad. Just get out before I start bouncing this thing off your foreheads."

His parents looked exhausted. 15 years of rebellious and stubborn attitude was not a great sign. Yet try left and that's when Quint broke out in laughter. "Aw Shut up," Orson growled.

"That... that's so like my parents!" Quint wheezed. Orson bounced the rubber band ball off Quint's head. Thankfully, his roommate didn't mind.

"Hey," said Quint. "Wanna go searching for some girls before classes start?"

"Hell yeah!" Orson and Quint raced out the door, eager to go searching for anything that could make their lives even better.

Short chapter but I'm sure they'll get longer as the book progresses.
