Infant Mortality Rate in California has gone down. In 2011, it was 4.8 deaths of infants out of every 1000 born. By 2012 it has dropped to 4.5 deaths out of every 1000 infants. This is due to an increase in women's health before, during and after pregnancy. (CA.gov, 2014)

On average the well-being of individuals in California rate in about 10% of the majority of the nationwide averages for aspects of overall well-being of individuals in America. This is measured through the well-being of variant different cultures that are living throughout America (CA.gov, 2016)

Texas

The life expectancy in Texas is 76 according to the Texas Almanac.

Although the infant mortality rate declined from 2003-2013 by 11 percent, the average infant mortality rate is 5.8 deaths per 1000 infants in 2013, (marchofdimes.org, 2016).

The infant mortality rate of Arizona as of 2013, which is the number of deaths per 1,000 live births, is 5.27. Compare that to the national rate which is 5.96
