Pardon my French
-----------------------------------------

"Francis, it's raining!" I said, looking out the window. My boyfriend was on the couch, reading with a glass of wine sitting next to him. He looked up, to me and then the window. "Oui, it is."

"Can we go dance in the rain? Please?" I ask, dragging on the 'please'. "But (Name), you know I don't like the rain. It ruins my hair."

"Please? Or I'll have to drag you out," I childishly complained, making my best puppy eyes. "Non, (Name). Dèsolè chèri." I sighed. "Fine, have it your way," I said. I wasn't really stubborn, maybe a bit, but not really.

So, instead of bugging my boyfriend about going out, I decided to play my Nintendo DS. Pokémon was always a favourite of mine, since I grew up with it. We both say there in silence, me playing Pokémon and my boyfriend reading. Little bits of rain pelted the roof, causing a comfortable atmosphere.

Time passed, I noted. I looked over to my boyfriend dozing off, head nodding and book slipping out hands. This was my chance!

I made sure I didn't make a noise sneaking off the couch to take his book. I snatched it out his hands and flicked his forehead, making sure he noticed the missing book. "W-what? Hey, (Name) what are you doing!"

"If you want your book, then come and get it," I teased, waving the book in my hand. Francis smirked, "fine. Let's play." He took a step towards me and that's when I ran out the door.

The book got as soaked as I did. Francis groaned, hesitating to go outside, eventually running out to get me. "(Name), I'm coming to get you," Francis spoke, chasing me around the garden. I giggled, thinking this was fun. "No you won't."

Although I threw the book the the side, Francis still chased me around the garden. He soon gained on me and wrapped his arms around me. "I got you, (Name)," he whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I hummed, "it appears you have."

Francis spun me around so I was facing him. He was smirking, blue eyes twinkling. "What are you planning, Francis?" He twirled me and started to sing.

"J'ai cherché un sens à mon existence.
J'y ai laissé mon innocence,
J'ai fini le cœur sans défense.J'ai cherché l'amour et la reconnaissance,
J'ai payé le prix du silence.
Je me blesse et je recommence."

He danced with me, twirling and spinning. We were smiling. This felt... amazing!

"You.
You're the one that's making me strong.
I'll be looking, looking for you,
Like the melody of my song."

He sung to me. His eyes were glistening with hope and love, something that made my heart flutter. I knew this song, so I sung back.

"You.
You're the one that's making me strong.
I'll be looking, looking for you,
Like the melody of my song."

He twirled me another time. This felt magical. His smile grew bigger.

"J'ai cherché un sens, un point de repère,
Partagé en deux hémisphères.
Comme une erreur de l'univers.

J'ai jeté tellement de bouteilles à la mer,
J'ai bu tant de liqueurs amères.
Que j'en ai les lèvres de pierre."

And so, we sang the entire song in the rain. We sung the last verse together, slowing our dancing. "(Name), je t'aime. A thousand years, forever," Francis exclaimed, pulling me into his chest and giving me a forehead kiss. "You are the only one I need. Always. Je t'aime."

I kissed him, on both cheeks, his forehead, nose, and then lips. "Je t'aims, Francis," I said on his lips. He dipped my body and kissed me with all the passion he had.

"Je t'aime."
