HANA WITSCHIRE has made it her mission to spread positivity everywhere she goes; after all, she's always been the mild-mannered, happy-go-lucky one that people can depend on.
LIAM WILKES is pessimistic and arrogant; after all, his status as the wealthiest boy in town and golden boy of May Fields High warrant the attitude.
But what happens when she sees past his bitter exterior, and he sees through her sugarcoated surface?
[a/n: I realize this sounds hella cliche, but stick around a while and you'll find that our two protagonists are more than they seem! ;) They both might seem a little over-the-top in their roles, and annoying at first, but it's meant to be that way.]

THE SUNSHINE SQUAD was established officially on May 26th, 2017. I wanted a special place and squad name for the people who have sent their love and support every week to this story; you have all been, as cheesy as it sounds, a ray of sunshine in my sometimes otherwise dim weeks haha :') (I realize that at some point, I might be unable to put everyone down and this is only off the top of my head, but do message me if you've been a regular reader from the start or for a while, and you'd like to be part of the tag list!)

a/n: gosh, here i am, a month or so after finishing The Exchange, writing teen fiction and romance once again. it seems that i still love it too much to give it up completely, and thought this might be a good escape / side project from my more serious story (rooftops & runaway hearts, which i've placed on the backburner for just a bit of time until i feel inspired again). really hoping that fans of matt and hailey will enjoy this story, and all of the summer loving happening! leave a comment and a vote; i'd love to hear what you think of it!
