HELLO!

It's been a little over a year since Lemon Drops & Candy Shops started, but I still can't believe how much it grew. Words can't even express how grateful I am to see how many people joined the Sunshine Squad, followed the story every week (even when I wasn't able to write or respond), and stuck through the highs and lows to reach this point: to all of you, I say a heartfelt thank you. I'm sending lots of love through the screen!

As a writer, this was a pretty experimental project since I've never really ventured into the dialogue or short story format. It was amazing to see the positive feedback! On top of that, I feel like I've learned a lot about having a positive outlook on life from Hana and overcoming struggles from Liam, and I really hope it's done something like that for you! Creating something that can brighten someone's day is the goal, and it's been lovely hearing from you guys about it! If you have any thoughts about the story, Hana, Liam, my writing, or maybe want to chat with me and the rest of the sunshine squad, comment in the inline here! I'd love to hear what your biggest takeaway or lasting impression from this story is!

So the big question becomes: what now?

Know that I'll eventually add bonus snippets here of Hana and Liam, so it's not entirely over yet! But it still might be a little while before I do those, because I like that there's a proper ending in the epilogue and it feels a little funny to add more to the story.

On top of that, I know I mentioned in the past that I had quite a few ideas for spinoff stories. On kind of a downer note, Cream and Sugar was one of them, but I actually unpublished it after being alerted that a copycat story was out there. I would very much like to write more spinoff short stories, but honestly, it's still a big concern (especially with the short dialogue format) and I'm not entirely sure if I'm ready to handle that sort of thing again. I'm also not sure what I'll be writing next on my profile in general: if it's young adult or more college-aged, short story or dialogue or regular story, etc. Part of it is a matter of what I really want to post on Wattpad and the stories I'd really like to write, without the fear of copycats. But anyway, if you have any thoughts or suggestions about what you'd like to see, feel free to leave that here as well!

So for now, I'd like to leave another big thank you! This story wouldn't have been the same without all of the lovely people supporting it, and the genuine readers are really (really) what kept me posting on Wattpad!

LOVE ALWAYS,

Kell
