Chapter 9

Three years later...

Leo woke up and looked around his room. I guess Laurence cleaned up. Leo got up and walked to his closet. Man, the past three years have been crazy.

Hi, Alexandria here...again. You may be wondering why we skipped three years. Well, I don't want to bore you and those three years don't have anything important. Leo and Laurence just get used to living together. Leo is now sixteen and Laurence is nineteen, Leo has gained more powers and has also improved enormously in the art of Magiks. Laurence poses as Leo's brother, little did they know how right they were. Anyway, back to the story.

Leo walked out of his room to see Laurence covered in flower. "Laurence, did you try making pancakes again?" Leo asked.

"No." Laurence answered. "This time, I tried to make waffles." Leo laughed and went to go get a broom. As he came back, the doorbell rang.

"Hey, can you clean this please?" Leo asked Laurence as he went to the door.

"Yeah, sure." Laurence answered. Leo went to the door and opened it to see The King standing on the porch.

"D-dad?" Leo stammered. "What are you doing here?"

"Why, I came to see you of course." Leven answered. "When the guards told me you were here I couldn't believe it."

"Well I'm here, you saw me, goodbye." Leo tried to close the door, but Leven held the door open.

"Not so fast. I heard about your 'brother.'" Leven said. "Meet me in the castle later today, we have much to talk about." Leven let go of the door and walked down the road, leaving Leo standing in the doorway shaking.

"Leo, who was that?" Laurence asked from the bathroom.

"Uh...Get cleaned up first." Leo said, closing the door and sitting down on the couch. Laurence came into the living room and was immediately worried.

"Leo. Who was at the door?" Laurence asked apprehensively.

"My...dad" Leo answered. Laurence was quiet for a count of twenty.

"What did he want?"

"He wants me to meet him....at the castle" Laurence sat quietly.

"Are you going?" Laurence asked

"Yeah, but he doesn't know that I have Magiks." Leo stood up and went into his room. "Stay here and pack, just in case." He came out wearing his royal clothes. Dark red silk shirt, red cotton pants, and a cape made of fire.

Laurence whistled. "Man, that's some outfit."

"It's not as comfortable as you think." Leo explained. "Good thing it's fireproof too." He gestured to the cape.

"Okay, well I'll get everything together so we can leave when you get back." Laurence said, getting up. "I'm getting tired of this place anyway."
