Amber watched as Shia pulled on the beautiful dress that she had picked up on the way to the hotel for her wedding vows. She didn't want to call it a wedding dress because it was just a virgin style, all white lacy dress for her ceremony. But it made her eyes water to see how beautiful her friend looked.

The clock ticked as she gained the courage to open the door and glide down towards the chapel.

Jamal stood waiting for her right next to the priest that would be doing the service. They didn't have your typical wild style Vegas quick and easy ceremony but a classy private one. It was over before she knew it but there were points where her eyes watered with tears.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife!", Amber said as she popped the bottle of champagne and filled her and Jamal's glasses with the bubbly liquid.

"Here you go, Mrs. Lyon."

"Cheers to the most beautiful woman in the world to me," Jamal tried to give a toast while the girls were still in high emotion mode. "And her best friend who came all this way to give her an amazing night."

The three of them touched each other's glasses with their own before only two of them downed the champagne while Shia drank her sparkling cider.

"Okay, okay. Now it's preview to honeymoon."

Their suite was made up of a common area which looked so extravagant and nice with two other rooms. Amber went to the room that she had claimed taking the tray of food and the bottle of champagne. She would have her own little party in her bedroom which was decked out nicely.

"You think I should have worn this. It makes me feel pregnant, not just look it."

"What's so bad about feeling and looking pregnant when you are those things?", Jamal kissed her on the lips at the crazy question she had just asked. "It's not the same. I like feeling pregnant but when I look it, there's a difference. I guess I'm just not used to it yet. I am only four months, Mal," her eyes were glued to the hands rubbing soothing circles into her exposed round belly.

They shared kisses and when Shia was comfortable enough they lied down on the bed and-

Someone's phone began to ring.

"Ignore it, babe."

"It might be important. It's my mom."

Shia sat up pulling her robe closed and walking to the other side of the room already feeling the mood changing in the room.

When the room grew quiet, she glanced up to see him pacing the floor with a look on his face.

Something was not right.

She went over and grabbed his face between both of her hands. The worry in her face was overridden with other emotions that she couldn't quite figure out as they flashed quickly until he spoke.

"What's the matter, Mal? Is it your family?"

"I need you to sit down, Shy. I'll tell you and then we have to pack up and leave."

"Jamal, just tell me!", she was now very scared as she sat on the bed with his hands holding her own.

He took a deep breath and on bended knee he told her everything.

Shia couldn't understand what he was telling her but when she heard 'child' and 'wife' her life flashed. The life of her own child and herself. What was happening?

Shia snatched her hands away from his and ignored him talking as she tuned everything out. He had told her the facts from before but he never told her about a kid. She thought this would be his first. She wanted this to be his first, so that they could share that.

"What's going on, Shia? Jamal?", Amber walked alongside her friend who decided to wear black shades to cover up her face and a black fur coat with a hood to hide the emotions flickering on her face. She turned to Jamal but he just shook his head and kept walking as they were escorted back onto their jet.

The ride was tense and very quiet as everyone did their own thing.

Amber was confused as she had just watched them marry each other with such love in their eyes, exchange the most beautiful of vows, and kiss each other like they were never going to get to do it again. Why in the world were they acting like complete strangers? Not only did they just get married but Shia was going to have their baby.

She didn't get any answers even when the plane landed at 7 in the morning and everyone looked like they had been through hell.

"Take me home, driver," Shia had her own car and Amber decided to go with her seeing as she had no idea what was going on and her friend needed her more. "Can we talk now?"

She got silence.

"I don't know what's going on but whatever it is, Shy, it ain't worth losing that man over. He loves and adores you like no other man I have ever seen you with. You'd be crazy to let him get away."

"I just need to think, Amber. I need to understand what this means and why I want to be with Jamal. When I figure those things out, I'll gladly glue everything back together with my husband but right now I feel like our world was just cracked and some feelings escaped."

"Just be true to your heart, Shy."
