Chapter 18: Keeping up the Reputation

Nyesha POV

I ended up staying the night at Dustin's and sleeping in his bed (Nothing nasty happened, but according to him his hand "accidentally" Grabbed my ass, like 98 times. I went home and grabbed my clothes for school then went back over to his house to see if he's ready for school. (My mom said I have to drive him to school in till his cast comes off). When I got to his front door it was left open so I just walked in. I was walking upstairs when I heard talking, me being me listened to the convo.

???: So did you hit that?
Dustin: Hit what?
???: Don't front, I saw that fine looking neighbour leave your house this morning, did you tap it?
Dustin: Who Nyesha?
???: Yah
Dustin: I'm not even gonna lie, I tapped that thing so hard she was begging for mercy all 2,3,4 and 5 rounds
???: So she's a freak?
Dustin: Freaky-Deaky, wanna know the best part?
???: What?
Dustin: She was begging to drive me to school today, she should be here any second
???: Well let's go downstairs and wait for her

To say I was pissed was an understatement. So I did the only logical thing I went downstairs and sat on the coach, he wants to play dirty, Game on. They came downstairs and when Dustin saw me he gave me a Did-You-Just-Hear-What-I-Said look and I just smiled.

Nye: Ready for school?
???: So your Nyesha?
Nye: Yup
???: I'm Trevor
Nye: Nice to meet you
Dustin: Lets go (Grabs my hand and drags me out)

We drove to school in silence and when I reached my parking spot I cut the ignition and walked into the school. I went straight to my locker and grabbed my books then closed it, I was so pissed that I ended up bumping into someone.

Nyesha: I'm so sor--
??: Nyesha is that you?
Nyesha: (Looks carefully at the guy) Chase?
Chase: Yah
Nyesha: I haven't seen you in forever
Chase: well I was living in California but my moms job got moved here so I moved over here, and so far I have 1 best friend
Nyesha: who??
Chase: you of course
Nyesha: Cool, do you have you schedule?
Chase: yah here (Hands me his schedule)
Nyesha: you have 5/7 classes with me and right now you have a free period
Chase: really, I was wondering what FP meant?, I just thought it meant Facebook period
Nyesha: Your so Wack

I took a minute to study his features. He was about 6'2, Dark skin, Braids, perfect teeth (Because he used to have braces), a good style and a great personality.

Chase: when your done checking me out we can go
Nyesha: Shut up

I ended up spending the whole period with him just talking and catching up and even told him about the whole "Dustin" Situation. We ended up making a plan to get back at him.

-Bell rings-

Nyesha: come on its time to put operation Jealousy into action

We walked into the classroom hand-in-hand and a saw a few of the cheerleaders give me cut eye, no surprise, I was walking in with a fine man, who wouldn't give me cut eye. The late bell was about to ring when Dustin walked in, when his eyes met mine he looked down and saw my hand wrapped in chase's. I think I saw hurt in his eyes but why would he care, he just used me, right?. He looked at it for awhile then put on his million dollar smile and took his seat. The period went by fast, everything we were doing was review and Chase kept moving his desk closer to mine.

*******Skip to Lunch*********

At the lunch bell chase walked me to my locker so I could put away my books.

Chase: Guess what?
Nyesha: What?
Chase: I'm joining the basketball team
Nyesha: really?
Chase: Yah, since it's club week, you can join/Try out for any club
Nyesha: Cool, you joining anything else?
Chase: Yah, dance club
Nyesha: Koolio
Chase: what about you, are you joining any clubs
Nyesha: nope
Chase: why????
Nyesha: Not my thing
Chase: please
Nyesha: no
Chase: Meet me in the lunchroom, k
Nyesha: k

He ran off in the opposite direction of the lunchroom really fast, me on the other hand, I walked to the lunchroom and bought a pop and patty, then sat at my normal table.

The Crew: Hey
Nyesha: hey
Diamond: So is it true that you walked into second period with a man on your arm?
Nyesha: Yup
Nia: So who is he?
Nyesha: an old friend
Nia: is he going to sit with us?
Nyesha: yup

After about five minutes chase walked in the lunchroom with a bag in his hand. He looked around the lunchroom till he spotted me. He came over to the table and sat down.

Chase: Sup babe
The Crew: Babe?

We ended up telling a The Crew the plan, even though Diamond, Nia and Rèquan threatened to kill Dustin they like our idea, as soon as we finished discussing the plan, Dustin sat at the table.

Dustin: Hey
The Crew: Sup
Dustin: Who's that (Points to Chase)
Chase: I'm Chase and you are
Dustin: Im Dustin Watts
Chase: Aye Nye guess what?
Nye: What?
Chase: I have a basketball tryout tomorrow
Nyesha: you do?
Chase: yup after school and on Wednesday in the morning we have tryouts for dance and in the afternoon you have tryouts for Choir
Nyesha: But I don't wanna be in dance
Chase: Suck it princess
Nyesha: (pouts) your mean
Chase: I'm sorry, I bought you a poutine and a taco
Nyesha: no you didn't
Chase: (opens the bag he brought) one for you, one for me ( Hands her the poutine and taco, and eats his poutine and taco)
Diamond: Lets see if he really knows Nye, what do you eat first the poutine or taco
Chase&Nye: The poutine obviously because it doesn't have the same effect cold duh
Diamond: -_-
Chase: Aye Nye, can I come over today?
Nyesha: Sure, why?
Chase: BITDMN
Dustin: what the hell is that?
Chase&Nye: BACK IN THE DAY MOVIES NIGHT (starts laughing)
Dustin: Nyesha can I talk to you?
Nyesha: sure

We leave the cafeteria and he drags me into a closet.

Dustin: What's going on?
Nyesha: you pulled me into a closet
Dustin: Not that, I mean between us, what happened?
Nyesha: if I recall correctly you told your friend Trevor and i quote "I'm not even gonna lie, I tapped that thing so hard she was begging for mercy all 2,3,4 and 5 rounds"
Dustin: you heard?
Nyesha: yah I did and it's funny because that never happened
Dustin: But you already knew my reputation, when you kissed me
Nyesha: but damn, I didn't think you would have to make sh*t up, it's one thing if it happened but it didn't
Dustin: I'm sorry
Nyesha: sorry, isn't gonna fix it, the only way you can fix it is by going to the whole school and telling them that you lied
Dustin: THATS NOT FAIR, I HAVE A REPUTATION TO WITHHOLD, JUST CAUSE GUYS DONT LIKE YOU AND YOU DONT HAVE A LIFE DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO RUIN MINE.
Nyesha: Lose my number (Walks out the Closet)
