XXXIV. CHERRY RED HEART

i do believe love is blind.

but not as in "oh god, he's/she's so perfect!", more as in being in a state of delusion in which we delve too deep into the other person's every action and word and think it all translates into reciprocated love for us.
it doesn't.

to me, love isn't blind to flaws because i am very well aware of all the bitter things inside of him but i still want it all.
to me, love is blind to true feelings.
love ( can i even call this burning sensation that? ) made a fool out of me for thinking there was always some better meaning behind his emotionless words, for making me believe he looked me in the eyes for the same reason i did, for allowing me to let my defenses down and show him every inch of my being ( how foolish of me, another one i scared away ).

and while i was falling for him, he was too busy falling for her to even notice me crash at the bottom of this well of hopeless love.

-- but if this was my last day on this earth, i'd kiss you just so i could leave you wondering what we could have been and everytime her lips touch yours she tastes me instead of you. i bet she'd hate cherries from then on.
