Why do they call this engagement ball if the groom is the only one enjoying it? I sat at the throne next to the prince's, waiting for him. I rested my head in my hands, showing boredom to the
visitors.

I see the look at the maidens, "A scottish marrying a Prince from France" I once heard. Little did they know, I don't want this marriage.

Madame Garderobe stopped singing and everyone stood still. "Can I have your attentions monsier and Madame/s!" I heard a voice coming from the ballroom's door, it was Lumiere.

Suddenly I saw a piece of feather fall to the ground. I look up and saw a million of them falling down to my face. I turn my attention at the crowd. They we're all looking at the top of the stairs.

I gazed up and saw Prince Adam. For the very first time, I saw him wearing nothing at his face. No makeup, he was bare. The only color in it is his eyes, was bright blue eyes. It was attracting me. But this is nearly impossible.

He started walking down, our eyes locking with each other. He did not look any other way just mine. When he reached me, I curtsied and he bowed.

Madame Garderobe started singing once more. "Are you enjoying yourself?" He asked, and I found myself lying still mesmerize. He laughs and walks to Lumiere. The minute he walked away, I finally able to breathe once again.

We all dance to a jolly song, everyone is laughing. Women trying to get near Adam. Hoping to dance with him. But Adam didn't dance with anyone else, just with me. He smiled at me the whole time. I never felt this thing with him, until now. It was wonderful.

Everything was perfect, except the weather. It was storming outside. But no one notices, they're having too much fun inside to notice anything else.

But the laughter fades away once a knock came from the window. With the strong wind the windows open. The candles was burned out, Adam takes a candlestick that seemed to be the only one lighten.

An old beggar woman came to the castle
And offered him a single Rose
In return for shelter from the bitter cold

Repulsed by her haggard appearance,
The Prince sneered at the gift,
And turned the old woman away
But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances,
For Beauty is found within

And when he dismissed her again,
The old woman's ugliness melted away
To reveal a beautiful Enchantress
The Prince tried to apologize, but it was too late,
For she had seen that there was no love in his heart

As punishment,
She transformed him into a hideous beast,
And placed a powerful spell on the castle,
And all who lived there.
