the sky
like an inked
black sheet
studded with
flecks of pearl,
strangely
reminds my
heart of that
one night.
when we
lied with
interlaced
fingers
watching the
shy moon
smiling at us
and I felt
your breath in
my lungs with
each gasp
I took.
you kept
pointing to the
stars in the
sky for me to
see, but all
I could focus
on was the
ones in your
eyes for they
were much
brighter.
I listened
to the words
that came
out of your
mouth,
like fainted
sounds
to my ears,
thinking of
how the
letters roll
off your
tongue to
caress your
lips,
wanting to
brush my
fingertips
against them.
I was slowly
sinking in a
sea of
madness
where I could
still feel your
fragrance
invading my
senses.
