Part 9 - Cooking Time

You wake up the next morning with the Sniper, Medic, Soldier, Scout, Engineer and Spy teddies next to you, you look at them and starting thinking
"i need to give them a thank you gift but what to do" you thought, you think and think till an idea came to your head
"i know, i will make them brownies" you said to yourself, at the age of 5, you were a very good cook, you made a lot of deserts back at home, like cupcakes, brownies, biscuits, cakes and shortbread, you go over to your suitcase and pull out your favourite cookbook (you brought it with you just to read), you find the page for the brownies, mark it with a piece of paper and take it with you to the kitchen
you woke up late today so when you got to the kitchen, it was empty and you saw some of the mercs in the living room watching tv so you grabbed a stool to stand on, you put your cookbook in front of you and started grabbing the ingredients you need to make the brownies, as you grabbed everything you need to make the brownies, soldier came in
"hello cupcake what are you up to" soldier said as he was grabbing a snack
"umm...nothing" you said quickly
"...that doesn't look like nothing" soldier said pointing at the ingredients
"it's nothing now leave...please" you say as you jumped down and started pushing soldier but he's to strong to budge
"alright cupcake, i'll tel the others not to come into the kitchen for a while" soldier said getting the message, he walks to the door and leaves, you then went back to the stool and started getting to work
soldier went back to the living room where everyone was, they were watching a movie on tv
"hey maggot, don't go into the kitchen for a while, (y/n) is up to something and she tried to push me out" soldier said as he sat down next to engineer
"what is she up to?" scout asked
"i don't know but it involved sugar, butter, chocolate, vanilla extract, eggs, flour, baking powder and a little salt" soldier said surprises that he remembered everything that you had on the table
everything looks at soldier surprises
"sound like she's making brownies" engie said after a moment of silents
"oh that's cool, can wait to try them" scout said licking his lips
then everyone went back to watching the movie, a while later, you stick the brownies in the oven, clean up the things you used, grab your cookbook and start reading it for more idea on what to cook next time, as you were reading it, medic enters the room
"hello liebste, what are you up too" medic said joining you on the table and pretending not to know that you made brownies
"i was...reading my cookbook" you said smiling worriley "i was planning on making something at some point"
"i didn't know you cook liebste, you never mentioned it when you were talking to me and sniper on to of the camper van" medic said
"i forgot to say it at the time since i was distracted by all the different topics" you said honestly
"what are you planning to cook?" medic asked
"umm... maybe cupcakes since i love cupcakes" you said lying to hide the brownies
"oh that will be great, i love to try that out" medic said sounding excited "well got to go and check on archimedes, see you later liebste" medic then got up, kissed you on the forehead and left
you sighed when he left and you went to check your brownies, after a little bit of waiting, they were done so you take them out with some oven mittens, place them on the counter to cool down and went back to reading you cookbook, and after waiting a bit to cool, they were cool enough to cut so you grab a table knife, start cutting the brownies in squares and placing them on a plate, after all the brownie squares were on the plate you jump down off the stool, you start heading to the living room and as you were heading there you bump into sniper
"hello sweetheart, what you got there?" sniper asked looking at your brownies
"they are brownies, do you want one?" you say "i made them myself"
"ok, thanks" sniper said as he took a brownie, he takes a bit out of the brownie and it was so tasty and chocolaty
"wow sweetheart, this is so good" sniper said after taking another bite "let's find the other, they'll love to try this" then you and sniper head into the living were everybody was and you wal over to them
"i made everybody brownies" you say and you put the plate on the table
"wow thanks tuts" scout says and he takes a brownie from the plate, he takes a bit and his face lit up "this is such a good brownie"
soldier then takes a brownie and eats it "this is the best brownie i've ever eaten" he said with a smile
demoman take a brownie and eats it "wow lassie, your cooking amazing" he say taking another bite
heavy takes a brownie and takes a bit "(y/n) makes the best brownies" he said eating the brownie whole
engie takes a brownie and takes a bit "wow darling, i think you've beaten me at cooking brownies" he said
medic take a brownie and takes a bit "liebste, this is so good, i think i want seconds" he said smiling
lastly spy takes a brownie and takes a bit "you've done a good job, lapin" spy said secretly hiding the fact he love it
"thank you, it's my thanks for making me those teddies" you said with a smile
sniper then walks over to you, gives you and brownie, picks you up and sits down putting you on his lap
"your welcome, sweetheart" he said giving a kiss on the forehead, you smile by his words and start eating you brownie
after a while, all the brownies were gone and, all of you were watching a movie and it was a scary movie, you decided to sit between sniper and medic and before the movie started, they said that they will be there if you get scared and during the movie you did get scared a couple of time, you holded onto sniper or medic arms when it happened and they will help you calm down, after the movie you were kinda of shaken up and medic was about to pick you up when soldier pick you up, took you over to where he sat and started holding you close and comforting you
"it's ok cupcake, those monster won't get cause me and the team will protect you from the monsters no matter what" he said with everyone nodding in agreement
"you all promise" you said still shaken
"yeah, tuts" scout said
"yes, cupcake" soldier said
a yes mumble from pyro
"we will, lassie" demo said
"da" heavy said
"of course, darling" engie said
"ja, liebste" medic said
"don't you worry you little head, sweetheart" sniper said
"we will kill the monster and let you sleep peacefully, lapin" spy said
"thank you all" you say with a smile and hugging soldier
after you calm down it was dinner time and it was demo turn to cook, with your help again you made burger and chips, everyone love it and after dinner you head and as you were heading to bed, medic stopped you
"if you have a nightmare tonight, liebste just hug your teddy close and remember what we said" medic said
"and if you are really scared, you can come to our room and we'll comfort you" sniper said
"thank you both" you said, hug them and head off to bed, when you got to your room you change into your nightie, got into bed and hugged you mercs teddies tightly and drifted off to sleep
