Part 62 - Replacement?

You wake up one day with (y/d/n) and (y/c/n) waiting for you to get out of bed as they are hungry and you all head downstairs into the kitchen, when you get there you see sniper and medic look at you as you come in
"hi mom and dad" you says happily with a wave
"mornin' sweetheart" sniper says happily with a wave back
"morning liebste" medic says after sniper with a wave too
you then go over to the counter and make yourself, (y/d/n) and (y/c/n) breakfast, (y/d/n) and (y/c/n) then tuck into their food and you then tuck into your toast (topping of choice)
"so what are you going to do today, sweetheart?" sniper asked as you eat a peice of toast
"well...i was planning to go play in my playground" you say after swallowing your toast then smile at sniper
"that sounds nice, liebste" medic says "make sure you don't get hurt" he adds with concern
"i won't mom, don't you worry" you says a little too confident but with promise
medic just smiles then he carries on with his breakfast, after you, (y/d/n) and (y/c/n) was done, you and (y/d/n) go outside to the playground while (y/c/n) decides to go to your room to have (his/her) cat naps, a bit later all the mercs have had their breakfast and now they were in the living room
"so what's is the tuts doin'?" scout asked as he didn't ask earlier
"she's in the playground with (y/d/n)" sniper replies as he was relaxed
"ok, i go-" scout says but then the door opens to miss pauling (Who is around 6 months pregnant at this point)
"medic, you have a visitor" miss pauling could says before a man who looks like medic but sightly different hair colour being brown, square glasses and a black lab coat comes in
'brother!' the man says in his german accent as medic stands up
'brother? what are you doing here?' medic replies in his german accent in shock and confusion
"he claims that you took this job from him" miss pauling says as she rests her arms on her baby bump and she could see scout walk over to her with the corner of her eye
'yes brother, i have found the letter that you hid from me' medic's brother says in annoyances 'it had my name on it, not yours'
'...ok, it did' medic says looking guilty 'but you were too busy with trying to get that hospital job that i decided to take it instead' he adds a little angry
"yo medic, what's happenin'?" scout asked as he was completely lost "what does your brotha want?" he asked using his thumb to point at medic's brother
"well...you see...he was the one to have this job, not me" medic says confessing after looking around the room at eyes staring at him
all the mercs gasp and medic looks down on the ground in disappointment, the other looked amongst themselves in both confusion and worry then sniper went over to medic
"how did this happen?" sniper asked curious for him and the others
"well...when the letter came-" medic says but his brother cut him off
"for me!" medic's brother says still sounding annoyed but speaking english now
"yes...for him for this job, i decided to take it as he was busy trying to get a placement at the hospital" medic explained "then i hid the letter somewhere where he would never find it but it looks like he found it" he adds looking at the letter in his brother's hand then at sniper
"yes, now i want my job" medic's brother demands to miss pauling
"i'm sorry, as you can see, the medic job is already-" miss pauling says but medic cuts her off
"it's okay fräulein pauling, he can have it" medic says and the mercs gasp
"good, i go and get my stuff and i expect you to out of here in a few hours" medic's brother says and he leaves with miss pauling behind him
"medic, no! you can't leave" scout says as he goes to medic
"da, doktor can't go" heavy says agreeing with scout
"but i do, i wasn't originally meant to have this job and i should go" medic says as he tries to leave but his hand was grabbed by sniper
"don't go medic, what about (y/n)?" sniper says "she will be devastated that your leaving"
a echo of yeah surround the room as medic looks at everyone
"i know but as i said, i took my brother's job and if i stay, my brother will never forgive me and then my parents won't forgive me" he says sounding sad "so i better go" he says and he goes off to his infirmary
the other look at each other as they stare at the door medic left and it was so quiet you could hear water drip from a tap, 45 minutes later and medic was in his ambulance with his stuff and his doves in the back, everyone except you and your pets were at the front of the base saying bye to medic
"will we ever see you again, doc?" scout asked trying to hide his tears
"i don't know" medic replies looking sad
"you were a good soldier, doc" soldier says then hands medic a medal he made "here is your medal" he says as medic looks at it
"zhank you soldier" medic says with a sad smile
pyro then skips over and gives medic a picture, on the picture was a childish drawing of everyone and it made medic almost cry
"zhank you pyro, i will treasure thiz" medic says and pyro claps like a child
everyone ended up giving medic something, demo gave him some german beer he was going to give medic on his birthday, heavy gave him a sandwich to fill him up on the trip home, engine gave him a little model sentry and spy gave him a packet of cigarettes, everyone then stood back as sniper approaches medic
"me and (y/n) are going to miss you" sniper says as he strokes medic's cheek with his finger
"i know" medic says enjoying the touch "i will come back when i can...just for (y/n)" he adds with a smile thinking of you
sniper then grabs medic's face, smirks at him loverly then gives him a long kiss on the lips, after the kiss medic gives sniper a sad look then he drives off away from the base
"bye medic" sniper whispers as he watches him go
"here you dummkopfs are!" medic's brother says annoyed as everyone looks at him with annoyed looks "it's time for your check-ups so everyone to the waiting room" he says then claps his hands to get everyone to move
all the mercs then go in with annoyed and grumpy faces hating to be bossed around by this guy they just met today, all the mercs then go to the infirmary and as he is the fastest scout was first, meanwhile in the kitchen and you with(y/d/n) just got into the house
"mom! dad! i'm back" you says with excitement after a fun few hours in the playground
"...they aren't around" (y/d/n) says after a few seconds of silents
"where could they be?" you says curious and a little worried
(y/d/n) then smells around to see if (he/she) can pick up one of the merc's scent and then (he/she) got one
"follow me, i know where they are"(y/d/n) says and you go off with (y/d/n)
back in the infirmary and medic's brother has changed how everyone looks, scout looked miserable as medic's brother told him not to drink bonk anymore, soldier had his helmet above his eyes as medic's brother says he looked dumb, pyro was sobbing as medic's brother took everything from him that was fire related and told him to grow up, demo was on the floor drooling as medic's brother told him not to drink anymore, medic's brother told heavy that he was on a diet and he was only allow the food medic's bother gave him, engie had his helmet the 'right' way and his goggles on his helmet as medic's brother told him to stop wearing goggles when he isn't in his workshop and put his helmet the right way round as he isn't a child and lastly spy wasn't wearing his ski mask as medic's brother told him to take it off as it smelled really bad of cigarettes and bo and he not on work.
in the infirmary was sniper as he was the last one and he was told to take his sunglasses and hat off when he is indoors
"and i expect you to not wear them unless you are outside" medic's brother demanded at sniper who just does a little nod
outside and you had just appeared with (y/d/n), everyone looks at you and you were confused by the way they looked
"hi, what happened?" you asked so confused
engie was about to explain when sniper holding onto his hat with sunglasses on the hat and medic's brother comes out of the room
"right, is that everyone?" medic's brother asks then he looks around the room
he then spots you and you give him a curious look while (y/d/n) starts to growl
"wha...who's the child?" medic's brother says in disbelief
"this is (y/n)" sniper says as she goes over to her
"what is she doing here?!" medic's brother says getting mad as he got closer and
(y/d/n) gets more angry
"i can to look for my family" you says giving medic's brother a untrustworthy look "now who are you and where's my mom" you says trying to threaten medic's brother but you are only 6 years old
"your mom?" medic's brother says confused
"she means medic" sniper says angry and he gets sad
"what? my brother" medic's brother says and he chuckles "oh i kicked him out as he took this job from me" he explains "and to who i am...i'm your new medic" he says then he laughs before going into the infirmary and slamming the door making everyone jump
"...dad...where's mom?" you says sounding worried and upset
"shh..,it's okay sweetheart" sniper says as he hugs you close
sniper then goes off and everyone follows behind with pyro dragging demo with his legs, they then were in the living room and they were looking at you who was sitting on sniper's lap and (y/d/n) was on soldier's lap
"who...who is that guy, dad?" you says sound upset but not crying
"that's medic's brother, he claims that our medic took his place so he sadly kicked medic out" sniper explains
"no! he's lying, i want mom back" you says stubbornly
"we all do darlin' but rules are rules" engie says sadly and then you stand up
"no! no more rules!...we are family so we make up our own rules" you says then you goes over to soldier when you get off sniper's lap "if grandad want to wear his helmet over his eyes even though i like seeing his eyes, he can!" you say as he pull soldier's helmet over his eyes
"thanks cupcake" soldier says as he adjusts his helmet "and i'll take my helmet off when you want me too" he adds calmly as he rubs you on the hair
you giggle and then you go over to engie who was next to soldier
"if grandma want to have his goggles on and his helmet the other way round, he can!" you says as you fix engie's helmet turning it around and goggles by putting them on his face
"thanks darlin'," engie says and he rubs you on the hair like soldier
you then run off and then return with a bonk, a brown bottle, a sandwich, and a silver rectangle
"if scout can drink his soda, he can!" you says as you hand scout his bonk
"thanks tuts" scout says with a smile then rubs your hair
"if uncle demo can have his umm..." you says as you look at the bottle "...chocolate milk, he can!" you says then put the bottle in demo's hand
he slowly grabs the bottle and starts drinking from it making him better again
"thanks lass, i needed that" demo says and drinks from the bottle again
"if uncle heavy will like a sandwich, he can!" you says as you hand heavy a sandwich
"thank you, (y/n)" heavy says happily and tucks into his sandwich after petting your head
"if pyro wants to uhh...play with this thingy, he can!" you says and hand pyro his silver rectangle
pyro claps happily and starts playing with the silver rectangle which you now know is a fire thing
"if uncle spy like to wear his sock mask, he can!" you says and put the just dried ski mask on spy
"thank you lapin" spy says then kisses your forehead
"and if daddy want to wear his sunnyglasses and hat, he...can!" you say as you put the glasses and hat on sniper
"thank you sweetheart" sniper says and kisses you on the cheek making you giggle
"we are family and this guy is an intruder, so he must go away" you say and the adults agree with cheers
just then a knock was at the door and it was spy who went to check with you behind
spy then opens the front door and it was medic
"liebste!" medic says when he sees you
"mom!" you reply and he catches you as you run at him
he then gives you lots of kisses then you see medic's brother appear
'what are you doing back?!" medic's brother says annoyed
"i came to see my daughter" medic says sounding like it was obvious "and also to get my job back" he adds with a smug face
"well you can't" medic's brother says starting to get mad
"oh but i can because as it turns out, our administrator didn't like that you were ordering the others about so...she's fired you" he says as miss pauling comes in with some rope
she then ties medic's brother's hands behind his back then she takes him outside
"you'll get revenge for this brother!" medic's brother says as he is pushes out the door "you schweinhund" he adds before puts duct tape on his mouth
miss pauling then throws medic's brother in the car she had then she drove away from the base
"medic! your back, i miss you" scout says and hugs medic
you giggle and then scout remembers what he was doing so he stands up facing away from you and medic
"i mean, we all miss you" scout says sound posh and he walks away into the living room
"good to see you back, doktor" heavy says with a smile
"it's good to be back" medic says as he walks into to the living room
"i miss you mom, i was worried you were kidnapped or something" you says as you hug medic around the neck
"i missed you too liebste but i'm not going anywhere anymore" medic says as he sits by sniper on the living room chair
he then smiles at sniper who smiles back then engie gets up
"ok everyone, who's ready to a movie celebration?" engie says and everyone cheers
they then decide for the rest of the day to have a movie marathon to forget everything that happen with medic's brother and later everyone except sniper and medic were asleep, you were asleep on medic's chest, (y/d/n) was asleep on soldier, soldier and engie were asleep with their heads on each other, scout was asleep next to engie with his head on the arm rest, one arm on his stomach and other off the couch, pyro, demo and heavy were asleep together on the other couch and spy drifted off on his single sofa chair as he didn't realise how tired he was.
"so how did you come back?" sniper asked in a whisper
"miss pauling found me driving as she was driving and told me about what my brother was doing as she watched though the security cameras" medic explains also in a whisper "she then explains the plan she had and it went well" he adds and sniper looked impressed
"so...does that mean the administrator-" sniper says and medic nods
"it was made up, yes" medic says and he leans closer to sniper
"i could tell from your face it was" sniper says leaning into medic with a smirk on his lips
they then have a kiss and when pulled away they smiled at each other
"love you, darling" sniper says loverly
"liebe you too" medic replies then he leans his head on sniper's shoulder
after a bit they then ended up asleep and that made everyone asleep as the tv was playing to itself.
