After years of war, the United States broke into five major states where they developed the caste system. Each state held its own rank and jobs. It is strictly impossible to move up in ranks, but, it's very possible to move down in ranks.
Chicago- Where the poorest and banished were located; the main ones that started rebel attacks.
Rida- Which used to be Florida, is the second lowest. Purely by choice, its is where the artist and musicians are located. Only a little rebels are found in this area.
Angeles- The middle. It's where the teachers/ gardeners/bankers lived; including Vanessa. This specific state is more of a middle class.
York State- Upper Middle Class/Upper Class. Due to finances, more of the models/celebrities/lawyers/ etc. live in this area.
Lastly, Washington D.C- The highest. Here you may find dukes/duchesses/lords/etc. Here, the royal family lives in a castle found at the end of D.C.
