Chapter Forty-Two: School Trips

"Angie time to get up" I hear Lincons voice call out from down stairs. I open my eyes slowly recalling the events from yesterday and the day before. Once chase had dropped me off Kaylem was the first to see us and he gave chase an earful because I was wearing his jumper and that's all that could be seen my skirt was completely covered so kaylem assumed the worst.

After another 10 minutes of listening to kaylem rage on he finally went quiet long enough for me to explain after that he was quick to apologize but he told chase to remember it because if he ever tried something like that again it would be ten times worse.

I remember not seeing lincon in the house when I got home. Kaylem said he had gone out for a run which he usually does so it didn't over think it.

The next day lincon got a message from the school reminding him that I had a school trip on Monday that went for 4 days and they explained what I would be needing and where I would be dropped off and picked up from. They also mentioned that the second say is expected to rain hard so we will all be doing inside activities.

That leads us back to the present. Me laying in bed staring up at my roof.

My roof is really plain it needs something more, but what? I think to myself

"Angie get you ass out of bed" kaylem says knocking on my door before coming in without waiting for permission "here you go" he says carefully placing a carry table into of me with a fresh plate of pancakes.

"thanks kaylem they smell delicious "

"I know they do I made them" he says with a smile

"alright alright I'm sorry for Boosting your ego get out please" I smile amused by him

"is that anyway to treat your favourite little brother" he winks

"my favourite little brother Eh" I smile "your my only brother" I say playing along

"damn straight and I'm not giving up that position so your not getting rid of me" he smiles

"come here" I say out stretching my arms to give him a hug "I would love to be your real sister and I know for a fact you'd be the best little brother ever" I say as he buries his head into my clothes

"thank you so much Angie" he says sounding like he was about to cry

"hey none of that" I smile lifting his head up and brushing away the stray tears. "I would never give up the position of being your big sister okay, not in a million years " I say honestly

"thank you so much" he says going in for another hug before getting up off my bed "be quick to eat your pancakes you've got to go to school early today because of the celebration trip" he says turning to leave

"thanks " I smile at him before I look at the time it's only 4:00am!!! Why the hell did they wake me so damn early

The lack of sleep finally sets in as I drag my feet Along the ragged path that seemed to go on forever and struggle to keep my eyes open as they keep getting heavier just like all my limbs.
