"Patient Violet Parr reached," Baymax announced, stopping in the middle of the hall. Further down Bolt, Penny's dog, turned the corner and raced towards them.
"Baymax, that's Bolt! Not Violet!" Hiro groaned as he came to a stop. Had he mislabeled the scans? Or had Baymax glitched again?
"Hiro! Baymax!" Violet's voice shouted. She appeared in front of them as if suddenly popping into existence.
"You can go invisible?" Hiro stuttered.
"Just another part of being a super," Violet replied. "Nice suit. Where's Wilbur and Penny?"
"They ran into some security bots. Baymax and I came ahead to find you."
"We need to go now. Syndrome could be here any second. He was right behind me, and I couldn't turn Bolt invisible too."
"Baymax, could you lead us back to Wilbur and Penny?" Hiro asked. Baymax turned and stomped back the way they had come. Hiro and Violet followed close behind.
"Who's Syndrome?" Hiro asked as they ran.
"He's from where I live. He's trying to give himself super powers. I think he's really-"
"Richard Harthen? Could be."
"Are the others close?"
"I hope so."
The floor rocked beneath their feet. In the distance they could hear a low rumble.
"That sounds like trouble," Violet said as they picked up the pace. Hiro could only nod.

Maybe being a hero for real is hard, Penny thought as she pushed herself to her hands and knees. The air was filled with chocking dust and her arm was stinging.
"That the best you got?" Wilbur coughed. Penny glanced up.
He was facing off against the three remaining robots. He had managed to disable one of them and even chase off the three human employees. But not without cost. His helmet had been knocked off at some point, revealing a bruise on his face.
"Wilbur, you're going to get hurt!" Penny called.
"I'm already hurt," Wilbur replied. "Let's make it worth it."
Penny climbed completely to her feet as one of the robots attacked. Wilbur tried to duck out of the way but was sent flying across the hall to land in a crumpled heap.
"Wilbur!" Penny shouted as the robots rounded on her.
A loud bark cut through the air. Bolt charged out of nowhere, planting himself between the robot and Penny.
"I got this!" Violet shouted, charging forward. "Get everyone on their feet so we can leave!"
A purple force field appeared around the robots, trapping them in place. Penny turned to see Baymax picking up Wilbur who was complaining weakly.
"I can stand stand! Lemme go!"
"I'm not letting you get hurt or left behind!" Hiro pressed. He was standing beside Violet only a short distance away from Penny and Bolt.
"I'm a super. This is my job," Violet replied. "Penny, you and Bolt follow Baymax. Hiro and I got this."
Penny limped to where Baymax was restraining Wilbur. He picked her and Bolt up as well, cradling all three in his arms.
"I can still fight!" Wilbur complained, but he stopped resisting.
"Baymax got everyone, let's go!" Hiro called. Violet dropped the force field.
The robots exploded in a burst of white light and heat.

Everything was hurting. There was a pulsing beep coming from somewhere nearby. It was irritating. Penny could feel something heavy and warm by her leg. She could also hear low voices.
"-father will be here soon-"
Father? Who's father? What was going on?
"-only hope he'll be able to identify the other two kids. They aren't in any records-"
The voices were coming into clearer focus, but they were only making Penny's head throb-
"-dark mark on the name of Robinson-"
There was the sound of a door opening and the voices fell silent. A new one spoke.
"Thank you, doctors. I'd like a moment with them, if that's ok."
"Of course, Mr. Robinson. We'll be right outside."
Penny opened her eyes as the door closed. She was on a hospital bed in a pristine white room. Bolt was curled up beside her, his fur groomed to a neat white and a bandage wrapped around his snout. Two other beds were in the room.
"Glad to see you're awake," a man's voice said. Penny sat up and watched him. He was wearing a white coat and had glasses and wild blond hair.
"Who are you?" Penny asked. On one of the nearby beds Wilbur stirred and sat up. Hiro remained motionless.
"We've never met, even though Carl tells me you've been hiding out in my garage for a while now," the man said. He glanced at Wilbur, who looked away.
"Hi, Dad," Wilbur gulped.
