Chapter 8 – The Archangel (First Form)

“Hoyoku! (Phoenix wings)” Melfice shouted as he swung his gunblade now in a form of swallow blades and it had produced flame feathers around him. These feathers made their way towards the platinum-blonde haired Sentis member.

“You have to try better than that!” Fraus shouted as she dodged the flame feathers  and countered with grey light flares from her chakram.

Melfice defended the incoming laser flares from her chakram by casting a wall of fire in front of him. Yue jumped above him and this time she charged up yellow spirit energy around her arms. She saw that Fraus landed already on the ground and she wanted to take advantage of her current predicament.

“Terra Break DG1!” she shouted as the ground around the female Sentis member rose wildly and produced an earthquake around her.

Fraus tried to maintain her balance and once more she found herself jumping high up in the air. Her chakram now became enveloped in faint light spirit energy and once again it began to take shape of a huge bow. She ser herself up in a firing stance as she let a grey energy arrow appear on the huge bow, and as she prepared to take a shot at her former comrades, she noticed that tears rolled down her cheeks even more.

“Fraud: Nise Hikari No Ya! (False Arrow of Light)” she shouted as she shot an arrow made of faint light spirit energy at the two of them. The arrow was huge in size and the two students now prepared to defend themselves.

“Gravity Forcefield!” Yue shouted as a shield of darkness appeared in front of her to protect herself.

The hybrid wielder on the other hand decided to attack the arrow head on and he once again set himself on fire.

He adjusted his blades in it became a single gunblade once more. Flames roared around him as his gunblade now was wrapped in red spirit energy.

“Form 3, Efreeta’s Berserk!” he shouted as he made impact with arrow and attempted to slash it.

“Melfice don’t!” Yue shouted as she kept her shield up.

He had none of it though for he continued to head forward and attack the arrow head on and in an instant, the arrow had been engulfed by his flames and it was destroyed completely.

“What the?!” Fraus shouted as she saw Melfice rushing upwards at her.

“Don’t make me do this!” he shouted as he once again split his gunblades into two blades now. “Form 2, Hell’s Flames!” he shouted as the fires around his gunblades began to take a shape of a whip.

Fraus, with a sense of urgency, moved backwards and put some distance between her and Melfice. She in return charged up and made her chakram spin on her hand like a wheel.

“Fraud: Unmei no Ochite Sharin! (Fallen Wheels of Fate)” she shouted as she repeatedly threw light spirit energy duplicates of her chakram weapon at the rushing Melfice.

“Shit!” he shouted as he tried to dodge each chakram wheel that had made its way towards him but he only dodged a few of them for after a failed attempt, five succeeding wheels had landed flush on him and it had sent him staggering and falling to the ground. Fraus landed on the ground safely as she held on her original chakram weapon now.

“Stop hesitating!” she shouted and each time Melfice heard her voice it had pained him inside. The mere fact that she wanted him to hurt her was already a grueling thought.

“Susanoo Hashi!”  Yue shouted from a distance as blue lightning blades began to make their way towards Fraus. She tried to evade it and she succeeded, but just barely for one sleeve of her grey cloak had been torn by Yue’s lightning attack.
