"That was brilliantly insane," he breathed as his eyes stared at me in wonder.
"No, I was brilliantly insane" I corrected him.
"Is that so?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh yes, my royal husbandness, I believe we both know that."

The sky was still dark when she awoke from her slumber, and it seemed as if dawn still hadn't crept upon the sky like it usually did. The girl was confused, she had been so tired the night before, and now she awoke so early in the morning with no sign of weariness in her body. It was odd, usually after using as much magic as she had the day before, she often found herself wishing for the nights to be longer.
As she stood, she flinched when her legs screamed in pain. Yesterday had been one of the more harder training sessions she ever had, and sheer amount of concentration and focus yesterday's spell had required had left her body feeling completely depleted of all energy. She had felt like the rag dolls the younger kids played with.
A rag doll.
Ignoring the groans and complaints every step called out, she walked over to the makeshift door of her tiny cottage. It was a one room space, large enough for her and her family, but nearly not private enough. It was only one room, like the rest of houses in all the towns, but even then, the girl often found herself looking at the castle, longing to be the one living there. Oh, how wonderful would it be to live in a house with more than one room, and enough space to fit the whole kingdom?
When she opened the door, a wave of cool air hit her skin. It was nice and refreshing compared to the hot and humid air inside of the cottage. She stepped outside, barefoot, and walked over to the garden that lay behind her cottage. When she was younger, she would often find herself drawn to the plants, a wave of calm reaching and settling over her like a blanket. At the time she hadn't know why it was happening, but as she grew she had learned the exact reason why.
When she was Twelve Suns old, her powers had manifested. Random plants seemed to have been growing everywhere she stepped, and vines and creepers littered her home, crawling and creeping onto any available space. The oracle had been called to her home, where she had found a terrified girl wrapped up by the plants. She had told her that she was a child of magic, one with domain over the Earth.
It made sense, she was an Taurus after all, but the part that made no sense was the fact that she was a child of magic. Her.
Only those of royal blood were chosen by the Cosmos to be children of magic. It was believed that long ago when the moon had felt lonely, she had created the stars, as toys. But soon, she had gotten tired of them so went on a hunt to find a companion.
The sun was just like her, lonely. So he had created the clouds as something to watch and play with. But he too soon got bored of them. So he also wandered across sky and heavens to find a companion.
After wandering for a while across the Heavens, they both found each other. Now, they weren't lonely anymore. As the days went by, the Moon and the Sun grew close. Eventually, they fell in love and united. Their union created the four gods, Kas-the air, Lance- the earth, Sayn-the fire, and Reen-the water.
Children of the Moon and Sun, the Gods were often given groups of stars as presents. Each one had three favorite groups of stars out of the total twelve given to them.
But the Gods were spoiled, their parents giving them whatever they wanted, they were constantly causing trouble for the other celestial bodies. So, the cosmos, the creators of everything, decided to give the God's responsibilities. Part of the Gods were taken from them and made into an elemental form.
First, Lance was created into the celestial body of Earth. Inside him, Sayn was housed. On top of them was Reen, and lastly there was Kas laid on top of them all.
The other part of the Gods was their true forms. As a punishment the cosmos created the humans, similar look alike to the Gods. The only difference was that they didn't have magic. But, to make sure the Gods were in check, every once in awhile the Cosmos chose a royal baby to be a child of magic. A child with magic equal to one of the God's, or with magic even more powerful.
To add onto the punishment, the first humans were instructed to call every thirty moons by one of the favorite gifts of the Gods.
But children of magic were only royals because they had originally been created as children of the Gods. When a God and human mixed, you got royalty.
And the Cosmos simply needed to put an elemental part of the Gods inside a human to get royalty.
That was exactly why the girl didn't understand why she was chosen. The Cosmos never made mistakes, it had constantly been proved throughout history.
Had they finally made a mistake? But how could something that felt so right be a mistake?
Was she a mistake?
