Her heart kept ramming itself against her chest and the overwhelming happiness that had washed over her. She had waited for so many days for this moment and now that it was here, she couldn't feel anything but the overwhelming joy that was in her heart.

Her father held her hand in his and together they both stood at the entrance of the temple for the que.

As he stared at her face, he couldn't help but feel saddened that his wife wasn't there to see the wonderful person his daughter had become. She didn't even know and yet she had become an absolutely wonderful person.

He also felt saddened of all the lavish glories his daughter had been robbed off. All because people were only thirsty for power.

So when his daughter had told him that she was seeing someone, his protective instinct had kicked in. The world was a terrible place for his baby girl, and to know that she had already snatched herself a suitor left a bitter taste on his tongue.

But now his daughter was getting married. She was going to be responsible not only for herself but the life of someone else too. And he felt so proud.

So, so proud of his baby girl. She would be okay. He didn't doubt that.

The girl waited, but anxiety and impatience were gnawing away at her. She didn't want to wait anymore. She wanted to get married to the one that captured her thoughts and dreams.

At last, after a long wait, the doors opened and the music started. Her father and she walked down the aisle. The whole time the girl's eyes laid on the ginger haired beauty in front of her. She stood there with her family, her parents and two devious brothers.

The girl had a smile that stretched from ear to ear. There weren't enough words in her heart to describe the love and joy in her heart. The love of her life stood there, an expression mimicking hers. She still remembered the first time they had meet, their first kiss, the confusion, the panic. But she also remembered the joy she had felt when she had gotten proposed to.

By now the girl and her father had reached the alter, and her father handed his girl off to the one whose she would now share her life with. He leaned down to his future daughter in law and told her that if she ever broke his daughter's heart there would be consequences.

Then smiling, he passed her hand to the woman who would now be his daughter's other half. The girl laughed, her joy was infectious and every one in the temple found themselves smiling at the love this couple shared. Even the priests had to fight the smiles that threatened to come over their faces.

After her father had given her away, the girl and her bride kneeled on the ground. Their hands intervened between them, the priest started the ceremony.

He spoke in the ancient tongue, each ritual, each spell bringing them closer to being soulmates. Soon, he finished and it was time for them to kiss.

Both girls had tears in their eyes, the love they had shining radiantly. They leaned towards each other, eyes closed, and hearts beating wildly.

At last their lips connected, the whirlwind of emotions disappearing as the love they shared took control. The joy they had being conveyed in a way words couldn't, but as their lungs burned and ached for air, they pulled apart. Laying her head on her wife's, the girl muttered an I love you before her lips were captured once again.

Cheeks flushed and nothing but happiness capturing her in its prison, a startling realization hit the girl. She had found the rest of her family.

She was married.
