Oh. My. Gosh.
*Cries tears of joy*
THANK YOU LOADS AND LOADS for the 1, 007 reads! WOW! It seems as if Wattpad wants me to celebrate too because it's let me upload the chapter I've prepared for days! This was just newly added though.
SERIOUSLY! Imagine my happiness on a Tuesday morning (It's Tuesday morning here haha) and logging in to Wattpad to see 1,007 reads!
WOW!
I love you all LOADS. When I first started the story, it only had like... 6 or 9 reads. Then, because of a few issues I was dealing with, I left for a month or two and then when I returned...
400+ reads! WHOA! That was a MAJOR improvement.
And then...
600+ reads! WOW! Then I update and leave again and when I return... Holy Hephaestus guys, this is amazing! :D
Okay, okay, I'll stop now and let you go on to the chapter. The WELL WEEK PREPARED CHAPTER THAT WATTPAD FINALLY LET ME UPLOAD... =)
Thank you once again Demigods! This is a fun journey! :')

~Desiree~
"Desiree! Hurry up!"
I jumped at the sound of my aunt's sudden yell. Taking one last look at my room, I grabbed the two bags holding all my stuff and walked out. Aunt Jessie was dressed in a casual red shirt and blue jeans while I went with my leopard print shirt, black jeans and shin-length brown boots. Picking up the smooth, cold, gold dove shaped locket my mother left for me, I slipped it around my neck and let my bangs loose.
I regretted that decision.
Because my bangs kept covering my eyes, Leo would occasionally try to tuck them behind my ear but it wouldn't work. That wasn't what bugged me. The mere fact that his fingers made contact with my forehead filled me with so much shock that I had to breathe to calm myself down each time.
During the whole car ride, Frank kept quiet and stared out the window. I had headphones on my ears and music was blaring from them so I was entertained. Leo on the other hand, just kept his job of keeping my bangs to the side and fiddling with his fingers.
Then slowly, I felt my eyes droop and I couldn't hold back sleep calling for me...
"I'm sorry honey... but you'll be safer with Jessie." My grandmother whispered, wiping my tears away. It was that night. That night where I lost yet another person who meant the world to me.
"I don't want to leave grandma! I want to stay-no! No! Don't! Please!" I screamed and cried and pleaded but she would not change her decision.
I banged against the strong glass door as I watched the doctors insert the liquid that would euthanize my grandmother. I screamed and pleaded once again, begging her to stop, pleading for her to come back...
"Desiree!"
"No! Stop it! You'll kill her! STOP IT!"
"Desiree, wake up!"
I shot up, panting and sniffing. Frank was holding me close to him, rubbing my back soothingly. "You're okay. You're with me... don't worry. You're okay, I promise." He whispered, rocking me back and forth slowly. I wrapped my arms tightly around myself and Frank understood and held me tighter.
