"What do you mean she's gone?" I yelled, glaring at Chiron. He sighed, and then frowned. "Please don't make me repeat it again. I think maybe your friends are the ones with the answers."
I calmed down a bit. Maybe she was with Jason or someone. She couldn't have snuck out without my knowledge...she wouldn't do that.
Wait, was that why she was apologizing yesterday?
Slowly, the puzzle fixed together. Her worried mood, the way she was staring intensely at something when I walked in, the sad look in her darned multicolored eyes, everything practically screamed 'I'm SORRY!'
And I was a fool to look past it.
What really made my blood boil, is the fact that the twit Zack is missing too. My best guess is that he probably followed her, too worried for his ex-girlfriend's wellbeing.
That guy has clingy issues, seriously.
"Alright, yeah. I should go ask them. Listen, Chiron, I'm sorry for taking my anger out on you. It's just after what happened to Calypso, I-"
"I understand Leo," he cut me off, smiling. "It's hard not to worry about someone you love." His eyes gave away the hidden meaning behind his words.
I'm in love with her.
"Yeah, good to know." And with one last wave, I left and searched for Jason. When I found him, I decided to get straight to the point and not beat around the bush. "JASON!" I yelled, making him jump and turn to face me.
"Hey Leo."
"Don't you dare 'hey Leo' me! Where is she?" I asked, glaring at my best friend-scratch that-brother.
"Who are you talking about?" Jason responded weakly, trying one last time to lie to me. "You know exactly who, Jason and I want to know where she is right now, or I swear on the River Styx I'll go after her myself."
Jason's eyes met mine and I could see he was conflicted. "She chose to leave. None of us forced her to do it."
That stung my heart a bit. After what happened yesterday, she still found it easy to leave me?
"I know that. But where is she Jason?" He shook his head and averted his gaze to the ground. "I can't tell you."
I was practically shaking with anger. "Fine, I'll just go look for her myself." At this, Jason's head snapped up. "No, Leo please, you have to understand-"
"UNDERSTAND WHAT, Jason? That the one girl who eases the pain of Calypso might possibly be dying at this very moment? That you're keeping me away from the one girl who taught me to love again? That you find my life more important than the one girl I'd go insane without? That the one girl I'm in love with is ready to sacrifice her life just like the one I loved did? What exactly do you want me to understand, Jason?" I roared, ready to tackle him to the floor.
Now I had angered him. "I get that you're in love with her, I have Piper! So I understand how you feel! But she made me promise, Leo! She made me swear to never tell you where she went! Who am I supposed to listen to here? Her or you?"
