He lets the smoke escape his lips

He can feel himself getting lost again

Letting his mind float away

He doesn't do this because he loves it

He does it to escape his terrifying past

The boy sits on the edge

Almost slipping over

Yet he always manages to hang on

The boy's father hates him

For something he couldn't control

The boy has spent his life thinking he killed his mom

The boy couldn't control that

He didn't know when he was born his mom would be pronounced dead

Now the boy has spent his life paying for something he couldn't control

So he lets the smoke escape his lips tonight to forget the hate in his father's eyes

And the scars on his back

Tonight he let's go
