"Really Alice?" (Y/N) deadpanned as she watched Alice shuffle around a bunch of party plans. "You do know it's just a baby shower, right? We're not planning a wedding here."
"I want it to be perfect." Alice insisted, determined. (Y/N) just sighed and went back to the living room again.
This was how it had been the last two weeks. Alice had been planning the baby shower since the only close friends they actually had would be their fellow vegan vamps up in Alaska and (Y/N) wasn't allowed to travel that far at the moment. And even if they had lived closer, Alice would've still taken charge and everyone knows that. So nobody protested when she announced she'd be planning the little get-together.
So far she had invited the Denali sisters of course, (Y/N)s mother, a few of (Y/N)s friends from her old school (despite them not really talking anymore), and of course Esme and Rosalie. She had planned the cake that would be served, the music that would be played, the seats, and probably the gifts themselves. It was getting a bit out of hand but still (Y/N) wasn't allowed to help. Alice even had (Y/N) put on a bunch of different dresses to see which one would be best and they had finally settled for a loose, baby blue dress with white frills to remind everyone it was a little baby boy.
Not that anyone would mistaken the baby shower as a baby shower for a little girl. Alice had made sure all of the decorations were either blue, silver, or white. Garlands hung around the room they would be in and the cakes themselves were covered in blue decorations as well. Even the (alcohol free of course) welcome drinks had gotten blue fruit coloring in them. Alice had REALLY gone all out.
It was the day of the baby shower in fact and (Y/N)s partner was working very hard on two things. Getting all the preparations finished before the guests arrived and baking the cookies they would be serving up. Still hot of course because Alice insisted they should be fresh out of the oven instead of just baking them during the week leading up to it.
They were in the shape of a little babies footprint and would be getting blue frosting on top. The smell was wafting through the air and (Y/N)s mouth was practically watering because of it. It took all of her strength not to go scavenging for any leftover cookie dough.
"They're done!" Alice's voice called from the kitchen after a good while. (Y/N) didn't hesitate to get up and waddle to the kitchen where her partner was just taking them out. "Did they turn out alright?"
"They look amazing." (Y/N) murmured as her eyes glimmered at the look of the cookies.
"Great!" Alice clapped her hands before getting out the frosting she had prepared. "Want to help me decorate them?"
(Y/N) nodded as she grabbed a spoon for Alice and one for herself. The two started putting on the blue glaze as Alice chatted away while they worked. (Y/N) simply smiled, letting her do the talking mostly. She liked hearing Alice's voice. It was so cute and adorable. As (Y/N) looked back down at the cookies an idea popped into her mind. She smiled wickedly.
"Don't even think about it." Alice teasingly said as she glanced over at (Y/N) who immediately deflated. Right... Alice used Future Sight. It was super effective...
"C'mon that's not fair." (Y/N) pouted as her idea washed down the drain. "I just wanted an excuse to kiss you." Her plan had been to 'accidentally' put some frosting on Alice's nose and then use that as an excuse to kiss her. But somehow (Y/N) always forgot to act before thinking when it concerned Alice.
"You don't need an excuse for that, silly." Alice giggled before she quickly put a short kiss on (Y/N)s cheek. "Oh and, by the way, you have some frosting on your cheek."
(Y/N) quickly reached up and wiped it away, a glare sent at Alice who just smiled even brighter. She totally stole (Y/N)s idea that sneak!
