Bonding

Most of the times, it's marceline who's usually away for work while bonnibel watches over their little girl, that's because marceline is always busy recording being in a famous band and all. This was one of the unique cases where bonnibel was called in for work since there was an emergency operation for one of her patients. Marceline didn't mind a bit having to look after her daughter for it's been a month since their last bonding time alone.

Though the day was not going out according to plan. Amelia was cranky when she woke up after her nap and cried her little heart out when she noticed that bonnibel left without a goodbye. Marceline tried explaining that her mommy did indeed give her a kiss and a hug while she was asleep, but Amelia kept on crying.

"Emmy, sweetheart, you need to stop crying so that mommy and Emmy can play and watch some movies." Soon em's sobbing turned into quiet whimpers, cheering up a bit when she knew that her mother did not have work and would spend the entire day together.

"Millie and mommy play all day together?" Marceline's smile grew when she heard her two year old's cute lisp and how she cheered up instantly when she knew her mom was staying with her and wasn't going anywhere.

"We can do whatever you want baby girl." Marceline silently wished for her daughter to pick anything instead of going to the park since it was raining heavily and there was no way that marceline was taking her daughter out there.

"Can we call momma first?" Marcy sighed hoping that bonnibel could pick up her phone since she left in such a hurry.

Marceline didn't have to worry for too long since her phone signalled that bonnie was indeed calling her before she even had the time to dial bonnie's phone number.

"Hey babe. I was wondering if melia woke up so that I can talk to her before the operation starts?"

"She threw a fit when she noticed you weren't here bon. In fact she just asked if we could call you." Marceline explained while looking at her daughter who squealed happily when she heard her mother's name and impatiently waited for her mother to hand over the phone.

"Mommy I want to talk to momma please." Amelia exclaimed as her green eyes sparkled while her smile grew more and more, showing her dimples. Marceline thought that her heart was going to burst at the sight of her daughter being so happy.

Marceline handed her the phone and stayed close as she watched Amelia slightly lecturing her mother to wake her up so that she could get her proper goodbye.

"Momma you can't leave without a goodbye next time, okay? I forgive you though because mommy said that you gave me a kiss while I was taking my nap." Marceline couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's lecture especially since she couldn't pronounce the letter L yet and hoped that the lisp phase would last a little bit longer as she couldn't help but hope for her baby girl to never grow up.

"But if I woke you up from your nap you would still be tired and a little bit cranky, and I don't want you to be tired, baby girl. How about tomorrow we go and get a new toy for emmy?"
Bonnibel couldn't help but smile at her daughter's rant knowing that she got marceline's personality.

"I want new lego momma, can I? Please momma" with Amelia elongating her "please" with a cute pout that bonnibel could sense even throughout the phone.

"Anything for you munchkin, can you hand the phone over to mommy? I love you so much baby girl and I'll see you soon, okay?"

"I love you too, momma." Amelia exclaimed as she gave marceline the phone.

"I'm guessing we have a trip tomorrow to the toy store." Marceline laughed at how bonnibel couldn't leave their baby girl mad at her.
