Two scenes. Mirrored tragedies. Both played out, side by side. Both, in subtle ways, my doing. The only difference is the colour of the blood.

While the colour red is naturally human despite how violently it can be spilled, the colour purple is far more than questionable. The wounds have been self-inflicted, but that matters the least. The body is cold and limp as I release it from its captivity, and though I know full well that this is an indication of death, it is nowhere near the most worrisome.
