It has been a week since that incident happened. For days hindi napirmi si Gabriella. Tila may sariling baterya ang kanyang utak at ayaw nitong huminto ng kakaisip at patulugin siya.

She heard her mother call her. She sighed. Looks Like tonight hindi na siya makakatakas pa. For the past few days, her mother asked her to accompany her for a few times sa gown fitting nito. Noong una naman ay sumasama siya rito, she would love to see her try on different gowns, however, nang malamang kasama ang Tito Harold niya she found excuses. Siyempre, hindi rin maiiwasan na naroon rin ang anak nito. At oo, umiiwas siya rito. Namula na
naman ang mukha niya ng maalala ang nangyari. She was angry but at the same time scared.

"Enough, Ella." ani nito sa kanyang sarili and pushed herself up. Tonight, they are going to a private island owned by her soon to be step father. Doon sa islang iyon gaganapin ang kasal ng dalawa. Only few individuals are invited. Sayang, isasama pa naman nila ang kanyang bestfriend pero nagkasakit ang abuela nito.

She grabbed her medium sized travelling bag. It was dark blue with a good handle. Binuksan niya ang kanyang Cabinet at kumuha ng mga iilang pares ng pantulog. Most girls would wear shorts or night gowns during their sleep pero iba siya. She could never sleep if she is Not wearing pajamas. While folding her things, a white summer dress caught her eye. It is a simple yet elegant piece of clothing. Binili ito noon ng kanyang ina sa abroad pero never pa niyang isinuot. Napangiti siya at kinuha ito.
She stood in front of the mirror while placing the dress in front of her body. She's going to wear this tonight lalo na at mainit ang panahon plus she's sure it Will be perfect feeling the breeze of the sea later.

Nakarinig siya ng katok. Binuksan niya iyon at bumungad ang kanyang ina. "Are you ready, Ella?" Napadako ang tingin nito sa maletang nakabukas. "Do you Need some Help?"

Hindi tumangi si Ella. After all, when the wedding is done, her mother and her new husband would fly to Italy for their honeymoon. Mananatili doon ng isang buwan ang mag-asawa kaya't mamimiss nito ang kanyang ina. "Sure, Mama."

Her mother beamed at her. Kung ano-ano ang mga nilagay nito sa kanyang maleta na hindi naman niya sana dapat dadalhin. Make-up, perfume, face masks and other beauty products na pinamili rin nito sa kanya na madalang niyang gamitin. She doesn't really like putting any sort of thing on her face.

Nang matapos ng maayos ang gamit niya ay hinawakan siya sa kamay ng ina. "Anak, is there something bothering you?" tanong nito sa kanya. "I noticed this past few days you have been spending your time alone. Hindi mo na ako masyadong sinasamahan tulad ng dati." Hinaplos nito ang buhok niya. "Is it about my wedding?"

Gabriella felt guilty. But of course, she would not tell her mother what happened between her and Seth. Ayaw niyang makaapekto iyon sa pagpapakasal niya sa lalaking mahal niya.

Pinasigla niya ang kanyang boses. "Siyempre hindi." Ngumiti siya rito. "Marami lang kasing kailangan na tapusin na project sa school that is why I was not able to accompany you, Ma." Sabi nito at nagpatuloy. "And I'm very much excited to witnessed your wedding."

Nahawa ng ngiti ang kanyang ina. "At last I can finally be at ease." Nagpakawala ito ng malalalim na hininga. "Thank you, anak. For your support and understanding."

Nagkwentuhan pa sila ng kaunti hangang sa napagpasyahan ng kanyang ina na magpahinga na muna sa kwarto. In few hours, darating ang driver na inutusan ng Tito Harold niya upang sunduin sila at dalhin sa airport. She decided to take a nap to gain some extra energy. Nagset up muna ito ng alarm bago humiga. Feeling the weight of not having a proper sleep for the past few days, she closes her eyes. And unlike before, she doesn't see a pair of dark brooding eyes staring at her at the back of her mind.
