Leah's POV

"Pack your bags, we're relocating." My dad says after he bursts into my room.

"Again?" I say. "But dad, we haven't even been here for a year, and I really wanted to finish out my senior year here." I say, trying to change his mind. But he isn't having it.

"There's no changing my mind, Leah. Get packing." He then walks out of my room like nothing happened.

He's been getting more uptight lately. Usually we lived in one area for a year, then moved. But he's been uprooting us more frequently now. I've tried talking to him about it, about him, but he won't say anything.

I sigh and get off of my bed. I crouch down and get my suitcase from underneath my bed and walk over to my closet, stuffing my minimal amount of clothes in my bag. I didn't have much packing to do because I hadn't even unpacked everything from the last time we moved, somehow I knew I wouldn't need too.

I haul my suitcase and two, medium boxes downstairs and set them by the door. My mom walks out of the kitchen while struggling to carry a box. I walk over and take it from her.

"Thank you, honey." She says, and rubs her growing baby bump. She's six months pregnant and can't do much around the house anymore, so I've stepped up as temporary mom until the baby's born. My dad was very impressed that I was mature enough to take on my mom's responsibilities, and often tells me how proud of me he is.

I take load after load of stuff out to the car, going as fast as I can knowing that my dad will want to leave as soon as possible. I walk back into the kitchen to get the last bag, but find my parents leaning over the kitchen table, talking in hushed voices.

"He wants her," My dad says. "you know he always gets what he wants."

"I don't care, I refuse to give up my daughter." My mom says back.

I awkwardly clear my throat, having had enough of this conversation. Both of their heads snap in my direction and a play with my fingers until I finally speak.

"Everything's in the car, we're ready to go." I walk out of the kitchen and hurriedly get in the car, waiting for them to come out. I put my head in my hands and sigh.

Vincent Esposito. They were talking about Vincent Esposito. A dangerous, dangerous man who will do anything to get what he wants. And he wants me.

IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE. PLEASE READ.

Yes, I'm back with another story, even though I should really be focusing on my other ones.

This is my first time attempting to write a mafia themed book, so please go easy on me. And I will be attempting to write some smut.

BUT THERE WILL NOT BE A LOT OF IT, NOR WILL IT BE VERY DETAILED. LIKE I SAID, IT'S MY FIRST TIME ATTEMPTING TO WRITE SMUT. SO IF IT'S AWFUL, I'M SORRY, JUST KNOW THAT I'M TRYING.

Also, I'm going to be setting a STRICT updating schedule for this book. I'm going to be updating every FRIDAY.
