"Don't be glum, Leah. Be excited. We just arrived at your new home." I turn my head and lay my eyes on a huge white mansion.

"This is your house?" I ask as I let my eyes wander the expanse of his property. The grass was a nice, dark green and everything was so shiny. There wasn't one blade of grass out of place.

"Indeed it is." I look back over at him and watch the cocky smile return to his face. I start to turn back to the window, but a new thought stops me.

"Wait, so you took me away from my parents, just to bring to a house that's twenty minutes away!?" I'm yelling by the time I finish.

How dare he? How dare he rip me away from my parents, my friends, my life, just keep me locked up in a house twenty minutes away?

He chuckles at me and I try my best to keep my anger under control.

"Amore, this is not our home. I do own the property, but our actual home is in Sicily Italy. We will be staying here for the remainder of the week while I finish some..business." I stare wide eyed at him as I try to process his words.

Italy? We can't go to Italy. I can't leave my parents behind, I know I'm mad at them, but I can't live a life without them.

Before I have a chance to object, he grabs my hand and leads me out of the car.

"Come, let me show you around."

*********

After at least an hour of walking around and listening to him drone on about how successful he's been, he finally leads me to a bedroom.

I've come to notice a pattern around his house; he likes dark colors. All the rooms consist of dark blues, grays, or blacks, and minimal white. And the bedroom is no different. The wall is dark gray and the furniture is black, except for the bed comforter which is white.

"And this, is where we'll be staying."

"We?"

"Yes, we." I can hear the irritation in his voice, but I don't care. I'm just as irritated.

"No." I say sternly.

"No?"

"That's right. I said no." I watch as an angry look takes over his features and he narrows his eyes at me.

"Why not?" He says while clenching his jaw.

"Because, I barely even know you and now you want us to sleep in the same bed? Yeah, I don't think so." I smirk when I see the dumbstruck look on his face. I doubt anyone's ever talked to him like that, especially not a girl.

My victory is short lasted because without warning, he grabs my wrists and has me pinned against the wall.

"Listen here, gattina, I make the rules. You don't. If I tell you to do something, you do it. And we will be staying in the same room, whether you like it or not. And you better make sure you don't mouth off to me again, I really don't think you want a punishment before you've even been here a day, do you?"

His voice is strong and commanding, nothing like the soft and gentle way he spoke to me when we met.

He continues to tighten his grip on my wrists as he waits for my answer. I violently shake my head no, and he lets me go.

"Now," He says. "go shower I'll have clothes laid out for you when you get back." He orders.

"What wrong with the clothes I'm wearing now?" I ask I look over my outfit, consisting of a pair of black sweatpants and a t-shirt.

"They don't flatter you." He says, bluntly. "Now go shower."

I roll my eyes and turn my back to him. If I knew he would be so controlling, I wouldn't have gone with him as willingly as I did.

"Don't roll your eyes at me." I hear him say as I open the bathroom door. I decide to just keep my mouth shut, I don't really want to further piss him off.

I close the door, maybe a little too forcefully, behind me and gawk at the beautiful bathroom. It was easily the biggest bathroom I've ever seen. With the double vanity sinks, jacuzzi bathtub, and waterfall shower, I almost forgot that I came in here to take a shower.

"I don't hear the shower running." I jump when I hear Vincent shout from the bedroom. I roll my eyes at him and walk over to the shower.

After a few more seconds of gawking at it, I finally turn it on and wait for it to warm up.

The second I step in, and am immediately enveloped in warmth. The loud running water helped distract me from the fact that from this very moment on, my life was going to change.

No more family dinners, studying with my friends, or laughing at my dad's cheesy jokes. It's all gone.

I step out of the shower and wrap one of the fluffy white towels around my body. Vincent said he'd have clothes laying out for me, but they're not in the bathroom.

The thought of going back out into the room scares me enough, but going out in a towel scares me even more. I don't even want to think about what could happen.

I finally gather all my courage and walk out into the now dark room. Vincent obviously left, and with the lights shut off and the curtains closed, there was not an ounce of light in the room.

As I try to maneuver my way through the darkness and over to light switch, I end up stubbing my toe on the side of the bedside table.

"Shit!" I bend down to check that I'm not bleeding. This is ridiculous. The universe really didn't need to add on to the pile of shit that is today, but I guess that it thought that I wasn't miserable enough.

I continue to search the walls for the switch and smile when I finally feel it underneath my fingers. And as soon as I flip on the lights, the door swings open to reveal a very tense looking Vincent.

But once he turns his head and looks at me, all the tension fades from his face and is replaced with something else. Lust. Pure, unadulterated lust. I blush hard and wrap the towel tighter around me.

"What are you doing?" His voice was strained as he tried to keep his eyes trained on anything, but me.

"I was just trying to find my new clothes."

He then extends his arms to me and it is then that I see the pile of clothes he is holding in his hands.

"Here. Get dressed." He hands them to me and backs away slightly, still staring at me. I raise my eyebrows expectantly at him. Hinting that he should know to leave.

"What? Why are you staring at me like that?"

"Could you please leave while I get dressed? I don't want you staring at me." His eyes narrow at me, but he reluctantly nods his head.

"Fine. But try to hurry. Dinner is in one hour. And I do not tolerate tardiness."

*Takes deep breath*
HEEEELLLLLOOOO to all my beautiful readers! It's been a while since I've last updated, and I'm sorry. But school's been busy and with our football team making it to state (we didn't win😐 but runner up is still awesome) I just couldn't find time to write. But I'm back and hopefully I stay that way. I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
