You are a beautiful thing
Whole,
Intelectual,
Compassionate,
And emotional,
Oh so emotional.
And bright,
Hilarious,
Admirable,
So very admirable.

Yet when you look in the mirror,
Your real eyes clashing with the reflected ones,
Your lips begin to sink into a frown,
Because you do not see that you are
Whole,
Intelectual, and Compassionate,
emotional,
Oh so emotional.

And bright, and Hilarious, and Admirable,
So very admirable.

You see your chipped heart,
Your crumbling confidence,
Your wilted pride,
Your quivering dignity,
Your diminishing kindness,
Your deteriorating curiosity,
Your minuscule flaws,
Oh so minuscule.

And you're  breath hitches in You're  throat
because you see that you are ruined.
This world that at one point had seemed so intriguing
Has seeped into you like a poison.

It has stolen your hopes and aspirations has replaced them with a sickening dread.

Fear prevents the excitement.
Disbelief suffocates the curiosity.
Conformity devours the individualism.

you are a beautiful thing,
& like all beautiful things
You have been scarred by mankind
Oh so very scarred.

And now those scars eat up your appearance and blind you to your potential.

You become your flaws,
you relive your mistakes,
You depend on you facade.

But, you were not ruined you are still whole.

Even with a chipped heart you are intelligent.
Even with fear in disbelief at every corner you are still curious and emotional.
Oh so emotional
And even with society's judgment at constantly on you, you
are such a beautiful thing
