Just Like Fire

Chapter 1 - The Red String of Fate

As a plane landed in the Magnolia airport a new citizen had just boarded off the plane.

"There's no turning back now. But I've made it this far. And she would want me to keep going. I just hope I like it here."

She smiled to herself as she began walking down the streets of Magnolia.

Meanwhile, a pink haired highschool student with fiery headphones was jamming on his way home

"My new apartment should be somewhere on this street." Lucy said as she was examining her phone closely as she was walking down the street

While the pink haired boy is rocking out to some bad a** air guitar

*BAM*

Lucy's eyes widen as she sees a pink haired boy with onyx colored eyes was staring wide eyed at her as well

"Wow." they both thought as they stared at eachother in amazement

"I..uh I-" Lucy stuttered as she tried to focus on her words but couldn't help but feel mesmerized by his eyes

He just kept looking at her in amazement, he took in all her features, her silky skin, her chocolate brown eyes, her glossy pink lips.

Lucy noticed her sunglasses had fallen onto the sidewalk in front of her along with some of the boys papers

He wasnt in a school uniform or anything, in fact he just had on a red t shirt and jeans but you could tell some of his papers were school work

"Im so sorry!" Lucy panicked at the sudden realization of what she had done

She began rushing to pick up his papers

"N-no it s fine it was all my fault!" he immediately snapped out of her gaze as he helped grab some papers too

Lucy had picked up a paper that look different from the others, and it was

It had song lyrics on it

'These aren't that bad.' she thought as she read over them

The pink haired boy noticed this and cough awkwardly

Lucy didn't feel embarrassed even though he was, she was just curious

"Did you write these yourself?" she asked looking directly at him

"Uh yea,..just something I've been working on for a while." he said awkwardly "Im just mot sure how to transition to the next chorus." he sighed as he put his papers in his bag

"Well you could probably repeat this line in the middle at the end, It would give off the same tune as the other lyrics anyway." she smiled handing the paper back to him

"Thanks!"

He smiled as he looked at her in amazement as she picked up her glasses and stood up

He quickly put the paper back in his bag as he stood up with her

"Wait, so I take it you write music too?" he said smirking at her

"Yea, I play a few instruments too." Lucy smiled

"Well Id love to see you perform sometime."

"And Id love to hear you play that song sometime."

They both smiled at eachother

The pink head pulled his phone out of his pocket then sighed

"Oh crap." he scratched the back of his head awkwardly "Something's wrong with my cell phone. Could I use yours?"

"Oh sure..but what's wrong with yours?" Lucy asked as she grabbed her phone and handed it to him

She figured letting him use her phone was the least she could do after bumping into him

He didn't answer her as he just dialed a number and then held the phone to his hear...

Then Lucy saw his phone start ringing as he denied the call and handed her back her phone

He smirked as he placed his phone back in his pocket

"Thanks." he said

"Uh sure..but what's wrong with your phone?" she asked again staring at him with a confused look on her face

"Your number wasn't in it." he winked at her

She immediately felt herself blush and she was speechless

"Now that I have the beautiful girls number, I just need her name." he smirked again

But some how it was more seductive this time and Lucy felt her heart racing in her chest

"I-im L-Luce....L-ucy." she stuttered trying to calm her self down

The pinky chuckled a bit but then typed something in his phone and put it back away

"Lucy is a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." he smirked "But I like Luce. It sounds different."

And que the blushing Lucy.....

"Well I guess Ill see you around then." he said as he started to walk off

Lucy turned around immediately "WAIT!" she shouted as he turned back and looked at her

"I-I told you my name...its only fair that you tell me yours." she said trying to keep her composure

He smiled at her, genuinely "Its Natsu." he said

Lucy felt her heart flutter a bit "I hope I see you soon Natsu." she smiled

"Me too Luce." and with that he waved her off as he placed his headphones back on his ears

Lucy just smiled as he disappeared into the distance and she went to find her apartment.

She didn't know why but she got a comfortable feeling around him, and it didn't scare her at all.

'Yea, im definetly gonna like it here.' Lucy thought to herself as she continued to walk down the street
