When he was eight years old, Anthony Thomas found his father's wand and decided to play Aurors and Dark Wizards with his little sister. While being called for bed, Anthony showed an outstanding display of magic in a fit of rage, that shattered his baby sister's right eardrum beyond repair, and severely damaged her left. This was the first step in creating the extraordinary witch that is Nia Thomas.
When she was 83 years old, Hazel Thomas fell ill with lung disease bringing Patrick Thomas and his family to pack their bags and move from America to London to take care of his mother. After her death, he elects to keep his family in London to help his young nephew Dean cope with losing one of the four living people who knew his birth father. In their extended stay, his daughter is sent an invitation to attend the one and only Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This was the second step in creating the extraordinary witch that is Nia Thomas.
